Re: Connecting the Sub 37

Sounds like an extremely complex setup for recording a Sub-37 :o

Re: 1/8" patch panel to connect mother to foogers

I'm going to order one or 2 of these after I find 1 in-stock in the USA http://www.addacsystem.com/product/19-utility-racks/addac911 https://www.modulargrid.net/e/addac-system-addac911 https://www.modulargrid.net/img/modules/v101/7584.jpg They look a nice solution but then they are expensive (you s...

Slim to none I'm afraid :(

As others have said above, this design will use contemporary components that Moog can source economically in the required volumes.

The PB/Mod wheel assembly maybe, but I doubt Moog are going to offer a spare parts shop either.

Keyboard on the Voyager 'unplayable'?

Who is this mystery player?

Any half-decent keyboard player will be able adjust to the different actions of different keyboards. You have to do it ALL the time.

Re: Voyager vs Old School vs New Model D

Synths and guitars both are valued for their tone and expressiveness, not new features. The heady days of a new synth technology every year are over. People want the synth to sound good. Model Ds, prophets, ARPs sound good. Teles, strats and Les Pauls sound good. Manufacturers makes, musicians buy....

Wouldn't that be something? 8)

I'd settle for a 4-voice Sub with a 4-ove keyboard personally.

Re: Recording Moogs

You certainly don't need a 'DI box'. A DI (direct injection) box converts a high-impedance, unbalanced signal, typically from a guitar/bass to a balanced low-impedance signal suitable for directly connecting to a mixing desk's mic preamp inputs via an XLR connector. Any synth can connect directly to...

Re: 1/8" patch panel to connect mother to foogers

I just make cables to suit with a 3.5mm jack plug on one end and a 1/4" jack plug on the other (both Neutrik). Does the job for me. Is there some particular requirement you have? I'm pretty sure you can also get passive 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter/mult panels in 5U and Eurorack, but I've never f...

Re: Mother gets loud when plugged to fx

Great DUBMCT. Glad you got the problem resolved and this is useful info for anyone else with the same problem.

I don't suppose Moog gave details of the actual problem with the sub-board, did they?

Re: Sub 37 works fine with output, Mother 32 no sound

This the Saffire PRO 26, yes? Not sure from your description what the exact problem is. Sub-37 works but Mother 32 doesn't - is that right? You have Sub-37 on input channel 6 and it works, but the Mother 32 on input channel 5 doesn't - is that right? Try swapping them over and see if the problem is ...

Re: Knob removal - any suggestions?

I seem to be blessed with particularly strong fingers. I generally grip the skirt of the knob with my thumb and 2nd, 3rd, 4th fingers and exert firm inward pressure while pulling up - sometimes it takes a couple of goes, and you have to ease it off bit by bit. It can be quite painful on the finger t...

Re: Sub37: Crackling/fading Headphone output

Hi HansH Forgive me for asking the obvious question, but did you try a different set of headphones? Assuming you did and had the same problem, it sounds like a dirty/intermittent contact in the jack socket. Use a Q-tip with some isopropyl alcohol (or a proprietary contact cleaner like Electrolube Co...

Re: Recording Moogs

Normally I record directly into a mixer channel. You can record directly into your audio interface too. Just make sure your levels are good. I wouldn't personally record an electronic instrument via amp/mic but some performers have done so with interesting results.

Re: Hunting for rogue power supply

I began restoring a Rogue about a year ago. It was in a bad way, and I've still not finished it. Some if the parts like slider pots and those odd switches are just pure 'unobtainium' and I've sort of lost patience with it for now. The legendary 'black gunk' (decomposing foam between PCB and panel, m...
