Re: Here it is...

If you're serious, I'd be keen on yours (if you don't have anyone else in mind of course!) and pay for shipping etc. You're welcome to it - unless they suddenly start changing hands for huge sums on ebay, which I doubt. I'll let you know if Moog send me one, though I haven't received the email from...

Re: Here it is...

I just saw this on another forum and thought it was a joke.

Moog hasn't sent me anything about this yet. I'm surprised anyone's actually keen to have this thing, but I suppose that means if I get one sent I can give it away and make somebody happy.

Re: I love Moog but [rant]

I realize the the OP may not have English as a first language, though the title is a bit off. To say the word 'but' actually negates everything that comes before it. "I love Moog but..." actually means I love Moog but I don't really. Stephen That's a very odd statement to make, because no...

Re: The Vo-96 Acoustic Synthesizer

As mentioned in a different forum, this sounds potentially amazing. The real problem will be people playing standard guitar cliches with it, as with the Moog guitar.

A question I asked before but didn't get a reply to: does it have to be for guitar, or can it be used on any stringed instrument?

Re: And the Gold Minimoog winner is...

Hi Sweep!.... [etc] Hi. Thanks for your reply. The reason I asked if you work for Moog was because of the video. You were obviously there with Moog staff without knowing you'd won anything, which seemed strange and prompted my question. I'm glad to know everything's fine and above board, and congra...

Re: And the Gold Minimoog winner is...

So who's this? Is this someone who works for Moog? I thought employees are usually exempt from competitions.

Re: LEV-96 Concept Project

This looks really interesting. All we need now is musicians who can actually do something with it (like the Moog guitar, which always seems to sound like a bad copy of Robert Fripp, or else standard guitar lines with a different sound, when I'm sure it can do a lot more in the right hands). Can this...

Re: Any news about the small gift for Voyager owners?

I'm in Britain where Voyagers didn't have a Moog logo when I bought mine a few years ago. Considering Moog's total lack of interest in sending out these apparetly mythical stickers I have a good mind to stick a large Roland logo on mine and gig with it, hopefully sending hordes of impressed people t...

On the other hand, somebody with a Moog to sell does people interested in Moogs the favour of having first option before selling on ebay or wherever.

Electronics is clearly one of the least green industries, and getting progressively less so. It's a seriously bad trend.

Re: Is Moog selling out in cheap engineering?

Many people have expressed their concern about Moog products since they started using Chinese components, but usually you get shouted down and told you're a liar on Internet forums. A friend of mine has a later Voyager than mine. Mine has been superb. His has been horrific. He's been told he's a lia...

Re: Cheap Minimoog?

Yes, I remember those low prices as well - ruefully, as I would have bought loads of stuff if I hadn't been unemployed in the first rash of Thatcherite madness. I may well have bought a MiniMoog then, but a VCS3 would have been first (I'd used one at the end of the 70s but not owned it), and then pr...

Re: 10th Anniversary Gold Minimoog Voyager Sweepstakes - Dra

I think I heard some rumour about someone from Australia winning it, but that's all. And it was just rumour. To be frank, if I'd won it, I'd have strenuously requested Moog not to say so, and I suspect several other people here would have done the same. Someone here said he lives in or close to a ro...

Re: Where's my Iridiscent Moog Sticker?

The daft thing is, it should be advertising for Moog, especially for those of us who bought a Voyager when Moog weren't allowed to use their logo in Britain. If any of us gig with it, there's nothing visibly telling the audience this is a Moog being played. Maybe I should see if I can get an Alex Wy...
