Re: My Voyager has no problem.

Thanks to Moog for answering some of the questions many of us have had for a long time. It's good to have it confirmed that you've now returned to using Fatar keyboards. Also that the boards are made in Asheville and you still do the checks and 24-hour burn-in. We now know how to identify the non-Fa...

Re: My Voyager has no problem.

Didn't we clarify, in this forum not very long ago, that you can tell by the number and pattern of the screws on the underside of a Voyager whether or not it has Chinese-made components? Or does that just refer to the keyboard? EDIT: I found the earlier discussion about the screws and so on. That sp...

Re: My Voyager has no problem.

No problems with mine, either, apart from a bit of tuning drift that can be compensated for. That's no consolation to the people who have had problems, though, like a friend of mine who had the whole range of problems reported by other users, especially the envelope problems that seem to occur rathe...

Re: DonutDude says hello!

Hi. Sorry for the late welcome. My energies were sapped by that wally from the BMF in another topic. I wanted to comment, though, because I can relate to what you've said about ELP and prog rock generally. Some of my teenage years were made bearable by ELP and Yes, among others, and my early ...

Yes, me too. I haven't opened it as fortunately they said what it was in the subject line.

Re: SO so so dissapointed! Now 2 dead OSCs on VOS

As the saying goes, a good musician always blames his instrument... (not...) That's a really cheap shot, and also demonstrably untrue. You're implying that the people who've had failed oscillators and failed envelopes and so on didn't really have them, but simply couldn't play their instrument. I'm...

Re: SO so so dissapointed! Now 2 dead OSCs on VOS

A dead oscillator out of the box from the store is not normal. Moog Music test each and every single one of their products before shipping, and insures that they are fully working when shipped to dealers and stores. Each unit goes through a "burn in" period where the device is left powere...

Re: Moog Fest 2014

Thanks. I suppose it all depends on what `partnership' means. The term `co-produced' is used, which does suggest more than just a separate company providing publicity and venue organising. But it also suggests Moog are still involved, which is more than what was being said on the other forum, where ...

Re: Moog Fest 2014

Now that the subject of Moogfest has come up, I've a question based on things posted on other forums.

Basically it's been said that Moogfest only has the Moog name and isn't organised by Moog. I wonder if this is true or not?

Still nothing here.

Maybe it doesn't help that I said it's a silly idea and promised mine to someone else on here if it arrives. :)

Re: Getting more juice out of old gear: The Multimoog

Interesting. I hope using an output as an input doesn't cause any problems. Presumably someone here can comment usefully on that. Thanks for sharing all of this. It's good to pass these things on to people. It can be surprising how little of what's passed on to people gets taken up - for example I'v...

Re: Aquatarkus solo attempt...

Sounds great. It's not absolutely there yet, as I think you acknowledge in your original post, but then it must be incredibly difficult to play it without the bass and drums. When you play that with the rest of your band it should be amazing. I like the fact that you played it pretty much straight, ...

Re: Free gift from Moog?

...it's been said by a number of people on here that Moog doesn't seem to take any notice of people outside the US. This is of course complete bollocks !! [etc] Could be, of course. But for all the stuff you've received - and it's good to know someone has, at least - there seem to be quite a few pe...
