I think its kinda unfair to compare the new prophet 08, which is an 8 voice synth that's under $2000, to the voyager, a one voice synth that's over $3000. Obviously they are not the same thing. The poly evolver was a really cool keyboard and I believe that the prophet 08 will be as well. People need...

i think part of that overdriven wakeman/old skool model d sound involves running your synth, be it a voyager or a model d or a little phatty, through a distorted tube amp, or at the very least a good distortion/overdrive pedal. I would suggest keeping that little phatty and investing some money in a...

pedal board for moogerfoogers
I need to get a pedal board made up so I can take my moogerfoogers to gigs. Hoping to do three on top and three on the bottom type of arrangement, with space for a couple of expression pdeals. Has anyone done this and can anyone recommend a good but not overly expensive pedalboard manufacturer where...

midi guitar and a voyager
Is it possible to hook up a midi equipped guitar through it's roland interface into a voyager to control its sounds via the guitar?

i think that a digital delay can be great for certain sounds. I'm intrigued by the new roland space echo but I can't imagine it being any better of a digital delay than the line 6, which has a roland space echo mode, which allows for multi-tap delay, but doesn't really sound too much like my roland ...

so you can't send individual patches you have to do all or nothing? sorry guys, i'm retarded when it comes to midi, i dont even own a midi cable (i do know analog synthesis though LOL)! I need a bit clearer of an explanation. What I'd like to do is send just a few patches that I have made on one voy...

aaah, so your rexer is somewhat new correct? Looks to be a replica of the original space echo. BTW, I'm pretty sure that the new roland space echo is just a digital emulator like the line 6 delay. The line 6 is awesome and I've owned one for years but it definatley doesn't sound anything like my ech...

the moogerfooger analog delay will not have nearly as much high frequency content as your tape echo...two very different sounding effects. If you use and like your tape delay a lot I would NOT reccommend selling it! Of course I love my roland space echo but for live playing and certain sounds in the...

i would say that is it neither better or worse, certainly different. The ev-5 has a smoother feel and the ep-2 has a larger sweep. both are pretty sturdy and both have attached cords and a minimum control knob on the side...i think this one comes down to personal preference and which one feels bette...
