synthpro, I LOVE your Polymoog videos. Yes, it is about 1978 or somewhere in there. I restored a 280a a couple of months ago. Mine is serial# 1641 which means it was the 641 made.

I started out with a free running multivibrator and changed the capacitor from a 1uF to a 470uF; I put a 5Kohm slide pot in between the discharge and threshold legs parallel with 2 470 Ohm...
