Re: Some additional thoughts on the Moog guitar
3. GK3 connector! Definitely not for me, though I could see it as an option. I had a guitar with a GK3 before and it never felt immediate enough. I was thinking of this for a VG-99, not for MIDI, so the delay shouldn't be an issue. 4. Gibson robot tuner Not really a feature I'd desire. Yeah - this ...

Re: Finally got to play a Moog guitar
The Museum of Making Music has a hands-on section where you can try out organs, electronic drums, theremins, etc. The highlight for me was that they had a Moog Guitar E1 to check out. I probably spent 45 minutes playing the guitar and trying the different settings. Damn... I was in that room playin...

Anyway, it's a great display. Saturday evening with Keith and Eric Norlander was a lot of fun. Larry Fast's talk yeste...

Re: Short Minimoog D demo
I just located a short excerpt from a song featuring a Minimoog playing a guitar-like patch and style. Nothing big, but thought some of you might enjoy it. The patch is basically two VCOs set to exactly the same frequency which causes the phasing effect. The band is a somewhat obscure European band...

I think they should name it the MiniMoog Battlestar. Wouldn't that be MiniMoog Galactica :^) No seriously, I think it would be interesting to see Moog actually build a polyphonic synth, made with a recess on the top to fit both the Voyager, (and in that recess one for the Phatty) and then throw the...

Polymoog button font
Late to the party here, but have a related question: I'm almost done fixing up a Polymoog 203a. As is common on these, the white numbers on the blue preset buttons are faded on several of the buttons. Does anyone know a font name/size for this. Even better if it's available as a Letraset (or similar...

Happy New Year all! As I recently posted, I picked up an excellent condition Polymoog Keyboard (early model = synthesizer) yesterday. It's a B+ cosmetically and probably better than 90% functional. All keys, buttons, lights, outputs work. A few weird things, but shouldn't be too hard to fix. I'm sta...

It's an early model since it's labeled Polymoog Keyboard but has all the synthesizer controls. It's in B+ cosmetic condition and included the Polypedal, but no legs. All keys work, as do all switches and LEDs. It needs some repair but appears to be mostly functional. I've checked out a couple of ot...

This is MADDNESS! Before we know it people will be turning perfectly ordinary coffee tables into fully functional Polymoogs . . . or worse!!! I agree which I why I just bought a Polymoog an hour ago! Ive not played one board where aftertouch has really added anything useful to the synth imo. I know what its meant to do and it fails on all counts. Its a waste of money and time for moog to implement it in the phatty. The voyager doesnt need it either..i dont reckon they'll waste any time trying t...

Well, there's lots of arguements about it, but I think this guy has it right: http://members.madasafish.com/~r_rowley/page3.htmlnyrkickazz1 wrote:Sorry, it's not Moog related, but I figured you guys would know best. How the hell did The Who get that sound on Baba O'Riley from Who's Next?
