Re: Sub sound versus Sub 37 sound

I also have both. The Sub 37 can sound identical to the Sub P. But not necessarily the other way around due to the extra functions in the 37.

Re: How to exchange Patches between two Moog Sub-37 units?

Use the Sub 37 editor :D But since that is not available you can do a SysEx dump. Use a program like MIDI-OX on the PC. On the Sub 37 use the MIDI Menu -> SYSEX -> CUR PRESET: SEND or ALL PRESETS: SEND to transfer the patch to the PC and save the file. Then send that file to the other Sub 37. Page 3...

Re: Sub37 to Sub37 poly chain

Thank you Bald Eagle for the explanation how to set both two sub-37's. I couldn't work out this. Soon I will test Poly Chain! By the way: What would be updated in Sub Phatty? A Poly chain possibility? An update for the Sub Phatty poly chain feature had been promised some time ago. But things change...

Re: Sub37 to Sub37 poly chain

Thanks for Reply. I also found page36 Polychain instruction but in fact I don't know how to make it. Can you give an advice? I'm very excited because in two-three weeks we will have a chance to do PolyChain with both Sub37's OK. So, According to the Page36: "POLY NUMBER (MIDI MENU 3.1) This pa...

Re: Moog Noob & Sub 37 MIDI Question

The Sub 37 does support polyphonic midi output. I have used it via MIDI DIN and I don't see any reason why it won't also work over USB. Latency should not be an issue but that depends on the drivers and other factors as well. Sweetwater is a good choice to purchase musical equipment. Competitive pri...

Re: Sub Phatty cheat sheet typos

The quality of documentation for any product reflects on the product itself. It is important that it is accurate and as complete as possible. Moog prides itself in producing the highest quality in the industry and it should apply to all areas, documentation included. Most documents are online pdf fi...

Re: Sub Phatty cheat sheet typos

For all the tech writers who make my life a little more "interesting" each day ... Its vs. it’s Its, without an apostrophe, is the possessive of the pronoun it. It’s, with an apostrophe, is a contraction of it is or it has. If you’re not sure which spelling to use, try replacing it with it...

Press the Global button. The top line should say Global Menu 1.1. If so then you have the latest version. If not you can download from the Moog site ...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?

As I mentioned above I use a MOTU MIDI Express XT. Thanks! I saw that, but at first glance it looked like it was for use with a computer. But it seems you are saying it can be used without a computer as well, which might make it just the thing. I will take a closer look. You only need the computer ...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?

Looked like a great solution, but it seems that the MIDI Solutions products cannot be powered by the MIDI output of the Sub 37 (according to Sweetwater). Does anyone have a suggestion of another MIDI splitter that will work (one with integrated power options such as DC adapter or battery?) I know M...

Re: Moog Mother-32

i don't think the mother will necessarily be a good choice as an additional Osc for the Sub 37 if that's the primary motivation. It seems to be somewhat limited based on preliminary info. If the cv control is decent it may have more potential for use in a eorurack setup. The sequencer may bring more...

Moog Mother-32

The new Moog Mother-32 is being discussed at Gearslutz It's a single voice semi-modular knobby desktop synth with a built-in sequencer. The sequencer has 32 steps. There are 32 CV input/output jacks. MIDI in but no MIDI out. The Moog ladder filter is switchable between LPF and HPF. The sequencer if ...
