Re: Monitors for Voyager. Small & expensive or large & cheap
For years I used the original Event 20/20bas monitors, worked fine. Later updated to the Event ASP 8. Used they will be more than the Alesis combo but I think worth it. The new version of the 20/20bas are also supposed to be very nice, pretty much the same design as the original but with more power....

Re: Help! Voyager now plays tone with no keys pressed
Is doing this on all stored patches ? After checking the position of the keyboard/ env, gate switch, click it to env and back to keyboard even if on. If you still gave a problem after trying that and checking the menus , hope not but there maybe a chance there is a problem with the keyboard control ...

Re: VX-351 Accessory Port Cable Noise Issues
The CP 251 is running power of of the VX 351 ?
I recall others having the same issue , you need to power the CP from a wall wart power supply.
Good luck

Re: Upgrading from OS to New School
People who the OS and love it fine, it. A nice instrument. As for forces you to tweak, I do not agree. You can be forced and have a deep understanding just as much on the Voyager. Just because you have a preset memory and deep menus does no mean you have to use them all the time. On my voyagers many...

Re: Effects options for Voyager
The 104 is a great analog delay, can be a little hard to find and expensive. Worth it though. I think it s a good idea to have several different delays available. A fun thing with the 104 s to put another delay o effect in the loop.

Re: Effects options for Voyager
Yes, that is one of the things I like about it besides sounding great.
The RE 20 has a nice warm organic quality to it. Along with the MX you have a nice combination.

Re: Effects options for Voyager
I have been very happy with my 200. In the early 90's I bought a Boss SE 50 very programmable, lots of effects, sounds great. I still put it to use once in awhile. Should be be to find it or the next model the SE 70 fairly cheap used. One possible downside us you do not gave dedicated knobs for live...

Re: Effects options for Voyager
The Boss RE20 is a really nice delay/reverb. Also take a look at the Lexicon MX 200, it has several reverb and delay styles along with other effects can be found under $200.00 .
Have fun

Steinberg WaveLab 7. After using WaveLab 3 since 1999 for audio mastering, two track editing, montages and CD burning I decided it was time to upgrade . Have not had any complaints working with WL 3 all of these years, the real time interaction ha always been a plus.

Re: best small desk mixer for modular recording ?
In the Mackie world, take a peak at the 802 VLZ or the 402. A bit larger but also more flexible would be the 1202 VLZ 3. I have used Mackie mixers since the mid 90's and ave been very happy.
