Re: Little Phatty vs. Voyager: With one should I buy?
I don't have a Phatty, but I can confirm that Snow Leopard gives a really warm analog tone when running on the MIDI Murf. You just have to make sure you send all of the Sysex info in the right order. Hope this helps.

Can you post audio examples of each pedal running the same pattern with the same settings?

Re: Does Voyager Old School need Mic-Pre?
A DI is a must for studio or live. For recording, occasionally I'll run the Voyager through a tube pre (presonus studio channel), but not usually. Live, just a DI to foh. I usually run the Voyager through tons of effects, though, unless I'm going for a more traditional synthesizer sound. I have not ...

Can it do nasty grungy fuzz, or does it only excel at nice reverbs and delays? Your demo sounds great.

Re: Little Phatty vs. Voyager: With one should I buy?
I find OSX runs better on the Voyager than Windows 7 does on Phatty. Taurus must run Linux.

Re: Taurus 3 vs. Little Phatty with a roland PK-5
The bass my Voyager can do outdoes anything my Mopho (which I am selling) can do, so I will probably have to stock up on some new underwear when my Taurus arrives!

Re: moog voyager + fractal audio axefx ultra
Are most of the effects and amp models centered around guitar frequencies (accentuated midrange and cut lows and highs) or is everything pretty full sounding? I kinda lost interest in multi-effect processors awhile ago (though I still use my PODs and some cheap 80's stuff), but I have only been hear...

Re: Taurus 3 vs. Little Phatty with a roland PK-5
No sub oscillators, but the oscillators and filter are different. The Taurus saw wave combined with the Taurus filter just has that magic bass that makes you have to change your pants. Technically, both the T3 and the LP will both extend to 20hz, but the T3 is just better suited to the Taurus bass s...

Re: left-right outputs are not equal
If the spacing control is at 0 and the filters are set to dual lowpass, the levels should pretty much be equal, but it is analog after all.

Everything is different; it is a completely different instrument.
There have already been several "Taurus VS" threads, so lets not make this into another "Voyager VS Model D" scandal.

@magneticweb I like your song Double Helix; it reminds me of "One Of These Days" by Pink Floyd.

Re: Thread for recordings you made with your voyager!
Any signal processing Paul? What MF's if any are you running? the modular is just direct into Logic, with no effects. The Voyager was recorded direct as well, but goes to a send with Logic's Tape Delay and some fancy envelope processing of the delay. Just a limiter on the master bus to keep peaks a...

Everything was recorded live. I used my (ever expanding) eurorack modular and the voyager. the voyager plays the two "melody" parts.
