Re: Freqbox or Phaser?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Phaser. But if I played lead guitar in a funk band, it wouldn't be my first choice. I agree that the MF-101 Filter (plus an expression pedal) would be great for you. There's your Wah sound. The Freqbox on guitar, well...keep in mind that it works best on single note lines, not ch...

Re: Freqbox or Phaser?
What instrument do you play in your funk band? Keys? Guitar? Bass?

Re: Controlled Voltage
You can use the same cables for CV as audio, no problem.
I don't quite understand your mod wheel question though.

Re: cp-251 version differences
No other differences that I know of besides the attenuators.
And for what it is worth, I have never been bothered by the range of my S&H. If it was putting out 0-5v randomly I would wind up attenuating it anyway. I can't comment on the noise level for sure since I've never owned an older one.

Have you emailed Moog? Don't wait for them to read the forum, I don't know how often they come around here.

Re: CP-252 - my dream Moogerfooger
Nice sounds there, analoghaze. :D I think Moog will eventually make another CP unit. A dedicated VCA would be nice on there too. If you have a Little Phatty but no Voyager, and you rack up your CP-251, you have an empty space left for another unit. I have an empty space and some money. Moog, are you...

Re: Oberheim Two voice
Let's see... $900 for a MIDI SEM $600 for a bare panel SEM $300 (?) for a keyboard So a 2 Voice will have to cost around $1,800 - $2,000, somewhere in there. I'd still buy one of these instead of a Prophet '08. I can't wait to see it. EDIT: Oh, and the original 2 Voice had a sequencer built in. I wo...

The ones at the top of the page have end pieces that are painted or stained black. That's good enough for me.

Re: CP-252 - my dream Moogerfooger
What would be a good place for a 7-way switch (for selecting the number of stages)? That would be good to, but I ran out of imaginary panel space. It is possible already though, using an external LFO into the TRIG input. In TRIG mode the sequencer would restart as soon as it receives an external si...

Re: CP-252 - my dream Moogerfooger
Thats really nice. Does it have the abillity to link to other sequencers via the sync out? Well, since it only exists in my mind, I'll say SURE! But theoretically I think plugging the GATE OUT from one unit into the SYNC IN on another unit would sync them up. At least, it will if, er I mean W...

CP-252 - my dream Moogerfooger
Hey Moog, could you build this for me? :D I did the easy part (Photoshop), now all you have to do is the hard part (build it). :D It's an 8-step sequencer with two simple envelopes. The sequencer repeats in LOOP mode, but click the rocker switch to TRIG and it goes into "single shot" mode,...

Re: I have a question regarding the audio input jack...
Guitar pickups are high-impedance devices, and they put out an "instrument level" signal. The LP input works with "line level" signals, so you will need to use a DI box when connecting your guitar to it, or else it will sound thin and weak, like you have already discovered. Here ...
