Re: Programmable envelopes in the Moog editor

That is correct, and I bet the Moog engineers will understand that. :D

Programmable envelopes in the Moog editor

With the digital envelopes available on many of the new Moog synthesizers, I would love if the ADSR contours could be altered within the software editor. Adjusting between linear and exponential shapes would make for quite a variety of percussive sounds. With the Dave Smith line this can be done by ...

Moog Vocoder

Does anyone know if the vocoder uses coils/inductors like the original fixed filter bank? I’m not sure if they were ever used in the vocoder but I am curious.

Re: New MF-103 Aux Out static sound and lower output

I just tried this with my unit. I see what you mean, there is movement but it tends to be very subtle with many of the possible panel settings. Here are my thoughts and suggestion: try 6-stage and turn the resonance down, because with resonance up, the main channel has very sharp peaks in the moving...

Re: New MF-103 Aux Out static sound and lower output

From the manual: "AUX OUTPUT: Figure 6 shows the frequency response that you get when you start with the basic setup, and then listen to the AUX Output rather than the Main AUDIO Output. Note that the frequency response is the opposite of Figure 5. That is, the peaks of Figure 6 are at the same...

WS Envelope Decay/Release Response is my favorite

The shape of the Werkstatt's decay/release envelope is my favorite. I have been searching for another envelope generator that has a similar slow-release sounding tail but have not been successful. I thought the Make Noise Maths might be versatile enough to do it but it was not. I imagine it's the si...

My high C is going bad also, I imagine coincidentally. Interesting.

Re: Using moogerfoogers on the aux send and return

Just looked, that is more mixer than I'm used to. :) Did you try all four aux send/returns? (Some appear to be pre or post eq) Also, there are many switches to reroute the signal. It sounds like a feedback loop of some sort. Could you take a picture of the problematic mixer setup?

Re: Using moogerfoogers on the aux send and return

The signal coming from a mixer is much stronger than a guitar pedal is designed for. ReAmp boxes were designed to reduce these line-level signals and matching the impedance going into a guitar pedal. What happens when you sweep from minimum, on the amount send knob, through to maximum? I am guessing...

Inside your moogerfooger, circuit photographs

I am often curious how simple or elaborate a circuit is (For example, if you look inside a Fuzz Face, there is almost nothing inside). I am starting this thread in hopes that people will share their photographs of the inside of their moogerfoogers (and possibly other devices). Thank you in advance f...

I did your gate in mod today, nathan, thanks for sharing the information. It works great. I love playing the werkstatt with my mcmillan keyboard. Couldn't do it before.

Re: Kenton Pro Solo with Werkstatt

I have a Werkstatt and a Kenton Pro-Solo and have not had success with the Kenton's trigger being strong enough for the Werkstatt. The Korg SQ-1 sequencer does not trigger the gate on the Werkstatt either. The Arturia Beatstep Pro and Keystep do successfully open the Werkstatt's gate. Yes, you have ...

Re: Little phatty stage 2 modulation wheel sticky rubber

I just noticed this with my LP Stage pitch/mod wheels. I wiped them with a damp cloth thinking it was a substance that got on them (a kid with sticky fingers?) but realized it wasn't going away and started feeling increasingly sticky as I wiped. I have been pressing clean sheets of paper on them and...
