You can set the midi channel to 1-16 or ALL via the midi menu - but this just determines which channel(s) the device listens to.

It sounds like you think the sub 37 can play different things on different channels, which it can't.

I think it's very well written and it helps make sense of the huge amount of features contained within the sub 37. It'll help you get the maximum enjoyment from the synth.

As long as you have it cabled correctly and your DAW is sending out midi clock to the sub 37, then you should just need to press the "SYNC" button next to the arp rate knob

In the setup section of the editor it does say that it's connected to the sub 37 and not that it's connected to ableton live. If sync is enabled (next to arp rate), then you could always send a midi note to the sub 37 to kick it off in latch mode, or a sustained note if latch is off.
