Re: Model 15 hum
Depends the type of hum. When I got my Model 15, I noticed a... um, noticeable 'hum' except it was the hum of the power supply vibrating (as they do) against the wood cabinet. Apparently the power supply was mounted directly to the wood and not insulated with rubber grommets as I've seen used in the...

Re: My Moog 15 order question
I ordered mine on February 13th (2015) and it was shipped on September 10th. But mine was placed as a pre-order just after they showed them @ Winter NAMM, so they had not yet ramped up production. Note that mine was shipped directly from the factory in Asheville, NC. Once they caught up on orders, t...

Re: Voyager stoped working
The symptoms that you mention (blank LCD) would indicate that the digital board is malfunctioning or that something on the analog board is so bad that power is sinking and thus the digital board has crashed but I'm guessing that the voltage required is quite different. The diff between the Voyager a...

Re: Ahhh gezzzzz, new Subs awesome, but ...
Moog only had to make a handful of modules in order to 'sell' a IIIc as much of the work required for the Model 55 had already been done. 'New' modules such as the 984 (mixer), 904c (filter coupler), 905 (reverb), 901, 901a, and 901b OSCs and a tweak to the power system was 'all' that was needed. I ...

Re: Yes inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame ... ModelD/Kronos
I was there. As a Yes fan and an equal fan of Wakeman, I'll report that it was incredible even if they only played 2 and 1/2 songs. Jon Anderson sounded really good as well. I can't say that for Journey because their fake lead singer a) didn't sound good and b) was more fake than the fake news. Mayb...

Re: EP-3 Expression Pedal
I'm sure you are right. What you said makes sense; I was just going from memory. I have a Minifooger Drive and the filter works that way (they would be inverting it internally).

Re: EP-3 Expression Pedal
I see it's been a week since you posted this so I'll jump in. I do NOT have a Sub anything; used to have a Little Phatty (which had the same side panel) but now only have a Minitaur, Taurus III, a few Foogers and a vintage Minimoog so your mileage may vary but most of what I'm about to say will appl...

Re: Model 15 at 115v??
'hum' meaning that there is low frequency vibration coming from the power supply or an audio hum coming through the VCA output? I ask because my Model 15 suffers from the former, and I'm not happy about it. In fact, I let Moog know when I first received it and recommended that they dampen the power ...

I might have missed it, but ... does it work with the correct voltage selection on the PSU?

Re: Model 15 at 115v??
110V = 115V = 120V Here in the states, you'll see any number of these listed on faceplates, wall warts, electrical outlets. And actual voltage will vary based on your home distance from the grid, whether it's the dead of summer and supply and constrained, etc. I've seen voltage in my house range fro...

Re: Voyager Electric Blue Envelope Issues (and other things)
You may have a problem with some of the Ti (Texas Instruments) chips on your analog board. Best to call Tech Support @ Moog and explain the problem to them. I had a similar issue with my Filter Cutoff Envelope on a Voyager Select. I could tweak the Cutoff via the pot/knob but the envelope was dead a...

Re: Bernie Worrell saying goodbye
They did (give him an award). They gave him a purple (of course!) Little Phatty a few years back. I think he is still a special guest and I also think it was amazing, considering his condition, that he made it to the show this year. I met him a few years back at my local Sam Ash during a Victor Woot...

Re: Model 15 and 953 triggering
Also, looks like they just raised the price by $300. If I'm not mistaken, it was originally $799 but some of the outlets such as Humbucker Music down in Rossville, GA still have it at this price. In my opinion $799 was a good deal and the only thing that stopped me from buying one for my 15 was that...

Re: Moog Model 15 app gate?
I haven't seen the app but you'll want to patch the Trig 1 Cinch Jones output in the "Controller Outputs" section (bottom right) into one or both of Envelope generators Cinch Jones inputs. I assume the app has an onscreen keyboard which is logically plugged into the virtual 'back' of the M...

Is that a smiley face on the right side or a XLR for a microphone for the built in Vocoder? May as well have a Vocoder, it has everything else. I think there is going to be a nationwide shortage of buttons and LEDs. : )
