Re: Moog Grandmother as Moog Modular Controller

Yeah, I think it'll be a great tool in the arsenal! What's your modular setup like? What would you like to do with the Grandmother? Only downside I can think of (if you consider this one) is the cables needing to all be 1/8" to 1/4" conversions to interconnect from Grandmother to Modular....

Re: Grandmother Env amount doesn’t sweep filter 100%

Basically, I’ve been trying out a grandmother, and have noticed when the envelope amount is set to full on the filter, the cutoff doesn’t reach the top of its range. I have to set the cutoff to at least a 1/4 of the way just to get it to reach the top of its range, which is not what I’m after! Am I...

Re: Amplifier for the Grandmother

A good powered speaker is lighter and easier to move around than a guitar/bass amp and should give you better dynamic range. Right now I’m using a Mackie Thump 12” and it’s pretty great, especially for the price. The 15” might reproduce more bass though. +1 for the powered speaker recommendation. I...

Been busy with these :)

In your last 110 messages in this thread, spanning the last 7 pages bordering on flooding, not once did we hear or see a Moog in your music. :?
Careful there, alien! You're going to get chastised by the mighty DavyP!

Re: GM Filter Cutoff

I heard the filter won’t open up all the way and that the attenuverter into the filters cv input won’t help getting the cutoff up to where it belongs! It’s kind of a deal breaker for me. Anyone? While it's true that the GM's Cutoff knob by itself doesn't fully open the filter, patching the Attenuat...

GM transport case

For anyone looking for a case for the Grandmother, the Gator G-LCD-TOTE-SMX2 case is highly recommended. Originally designed to hold two LCD flat panel display screens side-by-side, the case fits the GM perfectly. Visible in the last photo, the large velcro panel divider (intended to separate the tw...

I'm about to find out, as I just ordered one to provide some protection to transport the GM to an upcoming show.

Some very cool sounds from this and other posts here, but I have to ask: as this is a Moog forum, what's with all the Analogue Solutions gear? Is there some Moog gear in there somewhere that I 'm missing?

Great throwback-sounding performance; your patch choices for that piece were excellent!
