Re: The One Vocoder?
the FX section more as an add-on, not as the main feature. Quite agree, i use the stereo chorus and the stereo delay occasionally (I don’t save presets as part of the patch) and let outboard or DAW do FX. If fairness I do the same on the Prophet 6! THe FX are far better than day one but I don’t thi...

Re: Minimoog Model D - Which Model/Year is the best?
Me too, for similar reasons. I’m not interested in maintaining a true vintage synth (just yet anyhow!), I just wanted it to look and sound like one. And it does.I was looking at getting an old model D, and I bought a reissue instead

On that, you’re not alone......But I find the concept of creating distortion this way a bit weird

Re: Moog One Output Signal Distorted
Check this thread.
In short, don’t turn master volume above 1 o’clock. Use VCA and Oscillator volumes to get gain sorted.

Re: Issue with INSERTS active by default
Can’t you create your own init with the inserts defeated and store as a performance patch?

Re: MOOG not recognizing new firmware file
That is odd, I just have the firmware files and I think that’s useful if you want to go back easily. I use a separate stick for presets which I centrally store on my Mac and copy to the stick to add to the One - although I don’t use many presets at all, with the exception of some of the “classic” on...

Re: MOOG not recognizing new firmware file
Make sure you don't have any other firmware file on the same USB
I use the stick Moog sent in the box, I have all the firmware files on (just the files not the folders) and when i go to update firmware it sees them all and allows me to choose which one I want - works perfectly.

But... posting it in the One forum makes sense though; both are huge Moog polysynths, sound wonderful and one is a classic and the other heading that way!

Who hasn’t got it?
It’s mentioned in most detailed reviews and on mine when it’s been operating a while and it’s all warmed up stops.

Re: Noise issue, is this normal?
The VCA & master volume are purposely voiced high to allow for distorted sounds in lieu of a dedicated overdrive circuit. Their reply also confirmed that noise will become quite loud as the master volume knob nears it's max, even with VCA & OSC mixer levels turned down and that this is inhe...

Re: do the Moog One knob values "jump" when you move them, after loading a patch?
I do like the feature of being able to see the stored value as you edit. On my DSI P6 a little red indicator lights at the preset stored value. It’s workmanlike considering no screen, so I imagine the One could do better if implemented!
