Re: v1.0.4

I wonder why it was not mentioned in the release notes? too embarrassing, perhaps? Uhg. I didn't mean that post to be a troll :( I was curious and posted w/o thinking... sorry  i don't think your question was trollish in any way. it was a valid question. when i first saw that list, i asked my...

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

Where can i get this firmware update to test? It would be cool! Thanks. Get in touch with Amos at Moog who supplied myself (and others) with an Alpha (maybe Beta) version of the Sub37 Firmware to test. As the OP of this thread it would be good for you to give it a go and see what you think +1 @genc...

werkstatt worldwide release - sort of

as many of you will have heard, moog music announced werkstatt's worldwide release yesterday . when i first read about it, i was really excited. finally this great little synth kit would be coming to europe. then i read about the mrsp: it's 399 euros. that's more than 500 usd! it's just insane. thom...

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

@gencomprodukts, Rufus the Dog: thanks for uncovering and analyzing this issue!

@amos: good to hear that moog is working on a fix.

i'm a bit surprised that this can be fixed with a fw update.
what does that tell us about the origin of this issue?
and about how the s37's vcos work?

Re: Sub 37 new keyboard exchange possible?

it's true, for its price the s37's kb does seem rather crappy. mine isn't uneven or anything. but the keys are unweighted and feel rather cheap. i find it very hard to control the velocity when playing on this kb. also, looking underneath the keys, i found the same black smudge that others have post...

oh, i didn't know there was another s37 feature request thread. how about merging it with this one, so that all requests are bundled in one therad?

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

@amos: thanks for explaining! to my ears, my s37's oscillators sound superb. i just found that discontinuity thing a bit disconcerting, because it's quite unexpected. that knob just seems to suggest a smoother morph between waveforms. but it's definitely something i can live with. and as justaboy ha...

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

yes i get this too with a uk model. discontinuous between saw and pulse. already swept this to good 'chipper' effect... sweeping from just above it, downwards to triangle. chzip chzip! admittedly not subtle, though. Glad to see someone that can hear this buzzy sound. I'm not the only one and the ph...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

and there are quite a few bugs in it.. fw 1.0.2 on mine. by swapping from a preset programmed with an arpeggiation to a preset with synced modulation it gave up an almighty continuous fart and then neither buttons nor keyboard worked. power off. try fw 1.0.3 - it fixes the 'freeze while switching p...

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

The uncontinuous waveshape is related to the new oscillator design and one of the things I really hate about my Sub Phatty. I've asked this before here and someone from Moog did reply that this is normal behavior. :( that's what i feared - because both oscs on my s37 are behaving exactly the same w...

both envelope generators have a 'latch' button each. so no need for sticky tape on your keys.

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

Audio file : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/97560549/Enregistrement%201.wav As you can hear, it's pretty loud. Never heard this "buzz" with my Sub Phatty. Any help? tbh, i don't hear any buzz there. what i do hear however, at 00:13, is a strange and somewhat annoying artefact that i ...

Re: Sub phatty Feature request: LFO phase start

i may be wrong, but it's my impression that all the lfos and egs etc on the sp and s37 are software. how else would those programmable mod sources and destinations on the s37 work?

Re: Sub 37 Recording MWheel per Seq Step

played around today with 'seq mod' as a modulation source - it's a great feature! i think it would be very cool if 'seq mod' was also available as a modulation controller, so you could also use it to sequence modulation depths. i also experimented with 'seq vel'. there is something about it that str...
