Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability

Hi, fellow moogers. First off, overall I love this synth. Amazing sound, great interface, portable and practical size. It's simply one of the best monosynths out there. HOWEVER, I have one issue with this synth, and that is the keyboard itself. I'm a jazz/fusion/prog player with a pretty decent tech...

Yeah, I agree parameter display is more important...forgot about that one. :)

Re: Sub 37 Osc Variance

I understand your sentiment, but in this case osc variance max/min range would be a minor update to a function already there. It's really one of very few necessary updates to make IMO. I can't really see any other additions being necessary at the moment, besides a couple of bug fixes.. I think it wo...

Re: Sub 37 Osc Variance

I think it would be great to be able to set the upper and lower limits for the variance in a future update. So instead of setting the variance to 10 and experiencing variations between 0 and 10 you could set the upper limit to 10 and and the lower limit to 8 and experience variations between 8 and ...

Re: Brand New SUB 37 - but is it really new?

I know for 100% sure that my Sub 37 was brand new, as it came directly from the factory (via my local store), also proven by the production date. I did not have a protective sticker over the display, and no pencils or poster (couldn't care less about those things anyway). Otherwise, no issues with b...

Re: What polysynth to go along with a Voyager?

You should check out a British company called Modal Electronics. They make two models: Modulus 002 (digital oscillators, analog filter) and Modulus 008 (completely discrete analog). Their synths are fairly expensive, but they are definitely worth it.

Re: Best reverb unit for my Sub 37?

Thanks for the suggestions, really appreciate it. :) I just ordered a Strymer Big Sky. Maybe I'll get a spring reverb later, those Vermona units look very tempting... Thanks again.

Re: Best reverb unit for my Sub 37?

I don't have the big sky ... just the Timeline and a Mobius on it's way. Even though the effects are digital it passes the original audio through cleanly. I like the two pedals I have very much. People seem to like both the Big Sky and Space so I would imagine either would suit you well depending o...

Re: Best reverb unit for my Sub 37?

Vermona VSR3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gktJSGUTNPw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUrKlcm0XRE Wow, I looked at some of the other models too, like the ReTubeVerb. Impressive stuff. Still, I'm leaning towards the Big Sky pedal, as it appears to be a more practical and portable choice for gigs ...

Best reverb unit for my Sub 37?

Hi, I need a high quality reverb pedal/unit for my Sub 37, and I'm wondering what my best options are. The Strymon Big Sky pedal seems like a good choice, and is considered to be the best reverb pedal (along with Eventide Space). However, both these pedals are digital. Would you rather recommend a s...

Re: Because it isn't said enough here.

I agree with the sentiments here. I got my Sub 37 a few days ago, and it's great. :) It was a bit weird at first, as the Sub 37's oscillators and filter behave a bit differently than on Voyager. After becoming familiar with Sub 37's architecture and sound, in some ways I prefer Sub 37 with its mixer...

Thanks! Looking forward to hear about your findings. PS: If you use headphones and both osc. in same octave, then it will be the most obvious.

I have the same thing with my Sub 37 too, which I just got today. I would also like to know about this. Anyone else? Thanks.
