Re: Routing electric guitar through Sub 37
Following up on your suggestion, I also see that the MF Drive has boosting capabilities so I'm going to give that a serious look. If your guitar has high-output pick-ups the MF-Drive will likely add some clipping to the input signal, even at minimum gain. At full output, the Burstbuckers on my LP a...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
What do you guys think of the velocity sensitivity on this thing? I am just a little disappointed in it because it seems very difficult to play very subtle and quiet with it the way it is. I have been using my left hand (I only play bass) to just turn the volume down in subtle moments but for fast ...

Re: live rig: Sub37 through Minifoogers
...my guitarist is the kind of guy to play on a ’81 Twin Reverb and he was totally conquered by a Tech21 Blonde. As he and another friend of mine says: it’s impossible to get the same acoustic pressure impression as with an mic’d amp , but the sound of it with respect to the weight/size factor just...

Re: live rig: Sub37 through Minifoogers
About the Vox: ideally, I wouldlike to be able to have a basement with some great guitar amps for synths, EPs, organs etc and some roadies to carry them haha. Another *sigh* for the fact that I am leaving a remote location where I can be VERY LOUD at practically any hour. At least my new place does...

Re: live rig: Sub37 through Minifoogers
...In addition to the Motion Sound amps (KP500 + SW250) , which handle the main outs from the line mixer, I also use one of the mixer's Aux sends out to a Vox AC15 tube amp, then with the turn of a knob I can send as much or as little of a signal through the gritty overdrive of a classic tube. This...

Below is a link to the event itself, not exactly as described in the subject line here. I will be attending, but do not plan to wear a Go-Pro camera or anything like that. LOL

Re: Secrets of the Sub 37 seminar - Video
Totally agree! The Moog website is really very nice, but certainly it would be great to see more in-depth how-to videos from Moog online. The bands and musicians are all great doing their thing with Moog gear, but sometimes a video can answer a million questions quickly about all sorts of functions.

Re: Synthesis Tutorials
Passing by The Moog Store the other day, their event chalkboard mentioned a Secrets of the Sub37 seminar coming up. I'm going to try to attend this event in person, but my schedule is not very open these days. Maybe just maybe, Moog could video this seminar (and others like it) so folks abroad can l...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?
Hey Everyone! Here's a something I did recently using the Sub37's Audio Input to create a unique filter sweep effect. MonsterJazzLicks made a comment on my Soundclud asking how. Figure, I'll reply here where there is some general interest in these things. https://soundcloud.com/michael-h-geimer/rand...

Un-plugging for a while. Moogless while in transition.
*Sigh* I just boxed up the Slim Phatty, and all the Minifoogers. Sub37 gets put away next. :( I'm moving off mountain come August, but the person who will be living here after that wants to advance the time-frame and move-in next week. That bedroom was my studio! So, this morning I got up ea...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?
For the S&H track you could try sending the audio through the Carbon Copy, and just dial-in the delay time by ear. I find analog delays are good for this because you can hear the delay time changing in real-time as you turn the knob, and it is fairly easy to hear when it is in time with the music.

Re: Slim Phatty tuning still problematic?
I bought one a few months ago right after the close-out announcement. It is slow to tune-up, sometimes taking up to a half-hour. Even after it has been ON for several hours, if you power down then back on again, it will be out of tune for a few minutes. I was quite surprised to find the tune-up time...
