Re: NAMM impressions

I met so many wonderful people this year--I'm very glad I went! So's the friend I took, who had never been to NAMM before. :) In random order: LOVED the Mother32! Felt surreal to play a Moog 15 that was made this century . The OB6 totally deserved Best In Show. I love all the different Eurorack manu...

Re: WNAMM2016: Korg Minilogue

I toyed around with it for about 15 minutes at NAMM. I had fun with it. Someone I talked to about it (and the Ody that was next to it*) that day described it as sounding "thin," which I suppose it did. I don't mind that. I like to evaluate synths based upon the user-friendliness for people...

Re: An idea...

I never saw this thread. It would make a wonderful memorial. I'm not sure what Monica would think of it. Or what would be done with it when made. FWIW, I go by Daphne these days. It was a nickname Kevin gave me many years ago. It's a reference to an old movie called Westworld. :) This year is the 2...

Re: Kevin Lightner's Unexpected Expenses

I was locked out of my storage most of this month, so there are still things left.
I started listing things on eBay today, and I will continue to do so this week as I complete them.

Re: Landmark 50th Anniversary of the Moog Modular

Those Emerson clones make me sad. What a waste to cater to rich people when there are so many people out there who would have loved to have bought the one (or two or three) modules they've been wanting for eons. :|

Re: Kevin Lightner's Unexpected Expenses

I'm making a dump run on Friday.

All parts and schematics left will be trashed.

These are badges/pins I made out of the same nameplates Kevin made keychain fobs out of.
They're $25 each, with worldwide shipping included. Email [email protected] for more info.

Re: Kevin Lightner's Unexpected Expenses

If anyone wants to make an appointment to meet me at the storage space before October 1st (less than 10 miles from where we lived) email me at lightner@synthfool.com. Priority will be given to the few individuals I'm currently in contact with regarding my recent Facebook listings (see link in thread...

Re: Kevin Lightner's Unexpected Expenses

Any items left over at the end of the month will go to the dump.
It'll be easier for me to afford a smaller space, and I have no need for synth parts.
And no, there's nothing related to Moog Modulars except schematics. :)

Re: Kevin Lightner's Unexpected Expenses

Thanks again to everyone who helped pay for Kevin's cremation. It means a lot to me. :) Seven weeks into widowhood, I'm doing okay. Though listening to ELP's Trilogy and Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" is kind of difficult. All that Moog goodness. :? I'm going to try to spend this month ...

Re: Who has found themselves on MatrixSynth or synthtopia?

The only auction of mine that Matrix featured on his site ended up being one of the few bad deals I've ever had. To his merit, he did remove a video of mine after I requested he do so. (This was after the whole fiasco with my husband, mind you. Methinks he just was twitterpated by seeing a vi...

Really? Cool. :)
Now that I think about it, getting a custom carpet like that made can't be cheap, so it's probably worth the asking price.

Quite possibly. Though it's hard to tell just from the pic.

Re: Moog carpet??

I think its disgusting how the rapists will try to charge someone 200 dollars for anything that has the Moog name on it. Can you please not throw the word "rapist" around when you really mean "opportunist" or "unabashed capitalist"? Thanks. :) OnTopic: I like the carpe...
