haha. i got a tickle from that, mostly because, in my head, that post was read by joe swanson from family guy.

i think you could sell some of the excess librarians on craigslist. you know, to pay off part of the mortgage you'll have to take out to buy 8 lp's.

Thanks for the opinion. I didn't actually pull the trigger on it, but there is a part of me that wishes I did have the background to work on synths. Maybe when I have some more money to burn I'll buy a rogue and just lay waste to it in an attempt to learn.

Suggestions for using S&H?

I have a voyager, vx351 and cp 251.

I have had trouble understanding the concept of the sample and hold circuit. Can anybody give me an example of a few settings to try so I can hear what's going on, or ways to make the circuit useful?

Thanks
Chris

i really think monosynths just require of the user a different approach. i used to think if one is good, six is better, but really they're just not comparable. it's like a six string bass or a twelve string guitar. they have their applications, but they'll never make the standard bass or guitar obso...

thanks for the reply.

i really don't have any experience working with electronics, would this be a service i could learn to perform, or does it take a degree of skill and experience?

Moog rogue servicing

I've been considering buying a rogue in fair condition so I can open it up and get some experience with the inner workings. Clean it up, install the midijack. maybe turn around and sell it ("Flip that Moog"?) but really I just want to get on the inside. I saw one on ebay, and this was the ...

Touchscreen quirk

I'm using a korg electribe esx as a drum machine and i'm running the midi out of it to sequence the voyager. Using the x axis to control osc 2 wave and the y for filter spacing. when i use the touchscreen while touching the metal casing of the electribe, the parameters seem to double in voltage or s...

i don't have a full grasp on v-trigs and s-trigs yet, but as far as i can figure, s-trigs keep the note on until it's resstarted (by pressing a key) and v-trigs are the inverse. if i have it right, it means your s-trig and v-trig are working properly, it's just that your application called for a v-t...

it's in the rackmount, and it's not powered externally, so the daisychain is a safe assumption.

there goes my last excuse to sell my rogue. amos, you owe me the ebay insertion fee.

thanks!

I thought of that initially, but I also have a stereo insert plug (where there's a stereo plug that separates the ring and the tip into two separate plugs.) and it still does the same thing, so i'm at a loss.

Hum when Rogue under CV Voyager conrol

Does anybody have any insight that could help me? I have the pitch control out of my VX 351 going in to the keyboard control of my Moog Rogue. When it's plugged in, a very high frequency is emitted, much like a dog whistle. All instruments play fine, but this frequency is constant. Is this inevitabl...

it's not a matter of if i want to play two parts...it's a matter of how. I was trying to find out how to link the two via cv and what effect it would have.
