Re: can't sleep
I have to agree! My Sub 37 is constantly amazing me with the purity of sound coming from it, not to mention the presence and loudness. The XL sitting next to it likes to scurry off into a corner and hide whenever I crank up the multidrive (altho I still love it for its Osc 3 mod capability - Sub 37 ...

Re: mod 2 amount allways full
Yeah, that definitely helped keep the cost of shipping to a minimum. The repair itself took about a month total though due to their backlog, not much can be done about that, but the XL is now fully up and running again!

Re: Moogerfooger's for Sub 37
MF-104M for sure - that's the only one I have (for now!), and it is stellar. It will definitely color your sound quite a bit, but it is a great, pure analog match with the Sub 37. I will admit that I have mine routed through a digital mixer (X32), but I only do that so I can use it with other synths...

Re: Do you layer the Voyager with other synths?
I'm still waiting for Moog to repair the analog board on mine so no layering for a while yet for me. But... I am eager to try it out with my Virus TI2 kbd which has oodles of lovely wavetables to meld / blend / shape the Voyager's three on-board Oscs. I also discovered this video yesterday which sho...

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)
I hear it now on my Sub 37, same setup as before. It is much harder to detect on my HS80Ms though. Honestly I do not think this is going to bother me. From a technical point of view, however, I do want to hear a reply from Moog regarding this artifact. I agree that it does not seem like the kind of ...

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)
I listened through an X32 Rack to Sennheiser HD650 headphones, and tbh, the only thing I hear is the Sub 37 oscillators sounding much brighter than the SP oscs (as designed). My ears aren't detecting any anomalies in the Sub 37 waveforms.

Re: mod 2 amount allways full
Called up Moog service yesterday, confirmed that I need a repair - I was glad to learn that I just need to send in the analog board, not the whole keyboard. The tech said it was one of the opamp chips that failed and he knew exactly which one needed to be swapped out. A rare failure but he has seen ...

Re: mod 2 amount allways full
I just read this thread today, and tonight discovered that my XL seems to be having the same fault - Pedal/On bus is always at full regardless of where I set the Amount dial to (and I have checked all the Pot mapping and other Edit mode pages to make sure nothing else is modulating it). No plugs plu...

My first contribution back to the synthesizer video community - the synth brass intro from the opening theme to Blade Runner on the Moog Sub 37 + MF-104M.

Re: Pimp my Voyager
The only effect I use with either of my Moogs (XL and Sub 37) is a Moogerfooger MF-104M. This one delay alone has opened up so many new sounds for me - and I barely use the LFO feature on it (or sparingly, for now ) That would be my recommendation if you're looking into adding a fooger.

Re: Build question on S37
I wholeheartedly agree that the build quality is superb. Every knob and switch feels firmly intact, nothing feels flimsy at all to me. My only comparison (that I've had hands on with) would be to the MS20 mini. Now of course the price points are completely different, but the MS20 mini feels like a t...

Re: Sub 37 MOD Destination Tips
Twice this week I've gotten stuck wondering what the heck I did wrong with the Mod 1 bus only to later realize I had the Mod Wheel all the way down. Much to learn and these tips are a huge help, thanks!

Re: Anyone else brick their Sub37 with firmware 1.0.2?
I also followed the directions to a T and fortunately had no issues. One additional step I did - in C6, I "Close"d each file after it was loaded / sent to the Sub 37. I noticed that loading a new file did not seem to automatically close the previous one, so did that just to be sure only on...

Re: Sub37 keys...hanging too far out?
I will check later tonight and compare my keyboard against your pictures. My serial # is mid-400s, and I do see the notch in the upper part of the keys even when they are not depressed. However, after looking at your #2 picture again (the one that shows the notches), it looks like some of your keys ...
