Re: MuRF thingy on ebay?
Well, no, its an adapter that you slide on, not a conversion. A quick run to the store and a few minutes with the solderin iron, that way its not permanent!

Re: EP-2 Static?
I haven't had much static but I have had one die on me and another functions basically only as an on/off switch. For something as simple as an expression pedal these things have been such a headache. At least the 104z was easy to fix and the fix took!

Re: Minimoog service advice?
Definitely replace the electrolytic caps -- as you said, theres no reason not to now since theyre so old, youre liable to be back in there in a month replacing one anyway. Personally, Ive found most pots respond to 1 part cleaner, 10 parts elbow grease :lol: and if youre gonna replace em, just clean...

Re: Lil Phatty CV Upgrade + 104 Spillover Upgrade = Sampler?
I actually have a similar rig, but I use an ancient digital delay with CV and Gate ins and play it from my Mono/Poly. Its an Electra EP-501, and its primitive as hell. It takes trial and error to get a decent sample and itll track around 3 octaves or so, but it is really great fun when its acting nice

Seems like a pretty even trade, depends on either instruments condition of course. What model Odyssey, btw ?

Re: patching moogerfoogers
Basically, from my experiences, if you plug an lfo with a TS cable into say the ringmods freq input, the frequency will rise up and down with the external lfo you just applied. Now plug another lfo or moog ep-2 expression pedal into the mix cv input on the ringmod, It will cancel out the two lfos (...

Re: Triggering MF-101 from an ARP synth
Dont forget to put it after the 102, with the modulator on low frequency and the 101's follower set to fast, you'll get a lot of really animated sounds

Re: Triggering MF-101 from an ARP synth
ARP use two signals for triggers. Gate fires the ADSRs as long as a key is held down, trigger re-fires them (for multiple trigger). The trigger starts the envelopes, the gate holds them open. There's nothing on the 101 to trigger. Your best bet is to just let the envelope follower track the amplitu...

If you need to boost a signal run it into the mult and run 2 or more patch cables to the cv mixer

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?
Nobody can make a sound argument that adding voices hinders the creativity of a instrument. Sure you can be creative with a 1 stringed guitar, but it has it's limitations, and when you add the other 5, there are more possibilities. It's the same thing here. There is absolutely no way anyone can arg...

Re: fishing with foogers{touring}
ssm (solid state music) was an american manufacturer of musical microchips, VCOs, VCAs, VCFs, &c, and since they were american, they use 1 volt per octave (V/oct) control voltages like moog equipment does, instead of the Hertz per volt (Hz/V) that had been used before by japanese synth makers, s...
