I like the way the Stage Edition looks and in my opinion this is what this synth should be like... after all it's supposed to be a cheaper, cut-down unit (shame the price isn't a little lower). Great that the end cheaks will look better longer and why not have some variation... I loved my multimoog ...

Can you imagine... the Prophet synth original was designed as a 2 manual unit called the Prophet 10 but the thing was so hot it use to just melt which is why the single manual Prophet 5 was born. Revision 2s have a ballsier sound then the later rev 3s, as stated in earlier posts because of the SSM c...

Never been interested in EMS gear... and can't beleive they hold such high prices today when they were designed to be cheap synths... with cheap components. Nice interface though but i am a black and white notes man, I need a keyboard. GMedia have produced an OBX/8 clone called S.O.B. which they sho...

If you run Reaktor... this is extremely good (OP-X)... in fact it's one of the most acurate vintage synth emulations I have heard to date!

if they only made a standalone MacOSX VST of it I would be happy.

Oh, Mal, this must have been heartbreaking. It was at first but as they started to go i realised that I had a big wodge of money so that was OK. Also, better I got the money then the wife in the impending divorce so I was Ok about it. Looking back at the stuff i liked the most... I will probably re...

On a more serious note, how many synths have you got these days? I know you had to sell a few, when you left London. Yes...sad days indeed. I sold pretty much my entire collection... Actually I quite fancy a polyevolver... perhaps Santa will be good to me this year.

It gets more weird.

And why the Union Jack? Is that a clue? (It's you The Unknown!).

Yeah... but I think that's a small point as it would't take too much engineering to produce 2 metal hinges that swing out from the rear of the keyboard housing to support the top panel and help to steady the complete unit. There are little interesting things about these photos that make me think it ...

SMS 2000

My take on the subject. I have been working in media for 20 years... People in London call me a Photoshop guru, my 3d product visualization work for blue-chip clients have won many awards and quite a few new products that I have "mocked-up" in 3d have made it to production. In the last 20 ...

I'll post as soon as I get her up and running (perhaps a little YouTube video?)..

I have both my 351/251 in the moog rack with the interconnecting power from the 351 to the 251. You have to take the wood sides off and as part of the kit you get a little connecting power cable, the idea is that you don't have to power the 251 from the supplied wallwart PSU. In my situation, the wh...

FYI... the early Sig editions have a different touch pad surface... it's more shinny and smoother, and has raised horizontal lines which are painted white. I think moog had some problems with this particular touch surface material and it was replaced in the Performer Edition. Having played both I th...

MC As my SE is out of warranty, Amos has just posted me the mod... looks simple enough but here's a question for you. Given that this functionalty can't be software selected, could I not put in a toggle switch? I could route a switch somewhere were it is discreet... just wanted to know whether you t...
