Yeah. I also perfer hardware synths. I think alot of people do. But free VSTis are pretty awesome because they just that: free. When you are tight on cash like me, free is a really easy way to expand your arsenal.

I like it when companies just slap the word digital on a product to make it sound better. 9 out of 10 times that product would be better analog (ie- cameras, video cameras, music devices, etc.)

Reel to reel tape recently went out of production, correct?

I love the Speak and Spell, and I like circuit bending (no voyagers of course) but you can buy a new speak and spell with your pocket lint.

Here's a MG-1 that has been converted into a desktop synth. Pretty neat. http://cgi.ebay.com/MOOG-Realistic-Concertmate-MG-1-Synthesizer-Desktop_W0QQitemZ7391285477QQcategoryZ38071QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem That's kind of cool, but why would you do that? Also, how the hell do you play it? I don't see any...

It seems like everybody is all about that filter. What about good digital oscillators and Moog filters? Like the Esonique ESQ1. Please don't hurt me.

This method will also work for TI Speak and Spells and McDonalds cash registers
That's a bit overkill for a S&S, isn't it?

I agree. You guys know everything about everthing, and there just aren't many good synth forums that I can find. So, to go even further off topic: does anybody have experience with the Poly61? It's cheaper and I'm all about cheap. How does the P6 compare to the P61?
