Re: RA moog minimoog
I would be more concerned about the sound, does yours sound that much better than a later model D? I'm not sure it could sound that much better, my 12xxx sounds killer.

Re: RA moog minimoog
Yeah, I thought so. I screwed up not bidding. Restored it probably would fetch twice that.

RA moog minimoog
For $3250? I thought it would be worth more, even in this one's condition.

Re: Recording analog synth and signal processing
Not the most popular opinion, but when using analog gear a high quality multitrack tape machine has no match. I have tried the UAD Studer a800 plug in (the best out there by many standards), and it does sound good, but it does a clinical emulation of tape, which is far from the real thing. I have ha...

It's obvious they are consulting with vogue whores on a the ep-3 expression pedal.

Re: Confusion. A few questions concerning the Model D.
The model D's limitations are it's appeal. I feel like I'm using every function and have a decent grasp of the instrument's limits. If I had a modular, I would literally go mad trying to find the ultimate patch and never write any new music. That's kinda why I sold my Voyager. Plus the simplicity of...

Can anyone recommend a good oscilloscope? I need one for tape head azimuth adjustment, and maybe other uses. I have no idea what to look for.

Re: Dark Time
Anyone tried the Regelwerk? It has the midi faders and supposedly analog sequencing, thought it might be cool for sequencing model D. I can get one for a couple hundred, should I do it?

Re: Old Big Briar Docs & Price lists
I wonder if you could hook an amplifier to an EEG machine to get it to output CV or even audio?

Re: Cheap VCA modules for analog automation
Thanks, just got 2 8 channel mixmates for $19 a piece. I'm a bit leery about the sound though, hopefully it's transparent, but probably not. Maybe it can be modded. The only other solution of its kind is the niche audio control unit, another antique midi-vca AM. Do you know of any modern low cost AM...

Cheap VCA modules for analog automation
I have been searching for a solution for automating mutes/levels coming back from my 8 track tape machine to my mixer (I'm one of the few remaining people that records and mixes completely analog). One way I thought of would be to get 8 synth VCA modules, patching them into the mixer's pre fader ins...
