Re: Problem re-naming Presets - Slim Phatty 3.03
Yes, see this thread http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10384 or to save time - renaming patches: I was worried this was a problem with mine and am relieved ( in a way ) that it's not just me. I've got OS 3.03 on my SP, is yours the same? I found I could re-name patches but only ...

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation
Darktime sequencer the hotest product NAMM 2011 will interface perfectly via CV/Gate with LP or Voyager Price is 450 euros and circa USD$650 Shipping Feb 2011 Something that puzzles me about the Dark Time. According to page 13 of the manual the clock divide function only works when internal clock i...

SP stuck or dropped notes
A follow up on the stuck note issue I mentioned in an earlier thread where I mentioned that sometimes a note gets stuck on my SP: I also found sometimes a note doesn't register even though a key was definitely pressed. I worked out it only occurs when I'm using DIN MIDI in. It happens with several d...

Re: HELP ME PLEASE
Is the Slim Phatty set to receive MIDI on the same channel as your Keyboard is sending? Test whether the SP is receiving any MIDI: When you Play the Keyboard do you see a small arrow on the left side of the Slim Phatty appear? If you don't see that arrow then the Slim is not receiving any MIDI. Test...

Perhaps because now the lucky guy can have two going at once - sequence one, play the other. I could always use another synth - I'm envious !

Re: SP Oscillator 1 Out of Tune Across Keyboard
The auto-tune has a wait time of 15 seconds no notes being played. What you're seeing is quite normal as the slim warms up, you'll notice differences too between whether the studio is warmer or cooler. I think the auto tune is a blessing - it does such a good job I'm surprised it isn't the default s...

Re: detuned oscillators + overload
Remember you can adjust the frequency of OSC 2 if you don't like the rate of beating, but only after it's warmed up properly otherwise you'll have to re-adjust again.

Re: SP - how far out of tune is yours when it's cold?
I'm in central vic in australia, today was the first really hot day we've had. I've regularly had my SP out by at least 2 semitones sometimes 3 when first powering on. Auto-tune takes care of that as emac says within about 5 mins. What auto-tune doesn't take care of is the 2nd oscillator which can b...

Re: SP don't works with my A37 Roland master Keyboard
A couple ideas which are probably not the solution but worth considering - does the Slim register that it is actually receiving MIDI? When the pre-set is active, you would see an arrow symbol on the left side of the display when MIDI data is received. If you are seeing the arrow, check to see whethe...

Re: Presets - Too much detuning! Is this a Problem?
I've found with the stuck notes the only thing that sets it all OK again is to re-start the slim - power off/on, or from system utilities reboot it. I do really like the light sequence on reboot :) In case it sounds like I'm grumbling about the issues with re-naming, I have to say how gorgeous the s...

Re: Presets - Too much detuning! Is this a Problem?
Howdy, I also just received ( finally ! ) my SP I've struck both of those problems: On the issue of detuned patches there's a couple resolutions for this. Firstly, your SP needs to warm up. The first night I used mine - it had been cold here - it seemed to take about 45 minutes to properly warm up. ...
