A farewell to my Sub Phatty

Hey guys! Wanted to share my last video made with the Sub Phatty, recently sold. Here I have the Sub and Little Phatty covering Star Wars The Force Theme. https://youtu.be/6zd_sBfPVGc I still love it as a synth, but had no room to keep it. Couldn't let the Little Phatty go - more playable, I like th...

Re: Claim of delays on Grandmother on Gearslutz

A large percentage of the guys over on that site are knobs anyway. They've had a go at me on more than one occasion for owning two CS80's and four Minimoog's. Envy is a powerful poison in our society, and is even more relevant on those without proper education (both academic and social/family). The...

Re: Just got a Minimoog Voyager!

Great video again. Nice to start with one oscillator and double it up with a second slight detuned oscillator the second time of the theme. It’s my taste, I love playing the Voyager just through a long verb and get lost. Thanks for sharing! Thanks once again! Yes, on the second time around I add no...

I’m back to share another video... quite simple and small this time.

Re: As I was fixing some sticky keys on my voyager...

I must have shorted something. Now when I turn on the keyboard a picture of Bob Moog pops up on the lcd. Must have been a very early version of the OS, she works just fine so in no way am I complaining, was just a happy surprise. You can change this in the MASTER menu. I can’t point exactly where, ...

I like it a lot too, at least from the demos I’ve heard! They also look great!

Re: Where to start?

Hi, Some things are not exactly quite clear yet. One of the things that matter, is this: do you play keyboard instruments? If you do, although an iPad might seem like an interesting approach, you’ll still need a MIDI controller (150 for a good one) and a CCK (from Apple, to connect it to the iPad, f...

Re: Moog Grandmother

Thanks Igor. I am convinced. I have just ordered it. It will take some time to arrive in Europe ("America First" :D :D ). But I think this will really become a main instrument for me. The colors may be a little bit over the top for my taste, but it is definitely something that people will...

Re: Introductons

Welcome Suzanne, You have some of the best synthesizers money could get you. I have a Voyager myself, and even being a non XL version, it is incredible. Patching on the XL is the closest you’ll get to modular without actually going deep into modulars. One tip I’d pass t you, is that you should also ...

Re: Moog Grandmother

As it is now, seems impossible to use the LFO out to mixer and sound like an actual extra oscillator. I might be wrong, but it’s how things are right now. Among the manual's patching examples, they have a "Three Saws" patch. KeyOut (which should refer to pitch voltage) is patched into Rat...

Re: Moog Grandmother

From manual: WEIGHT: 16lbs. / 7.25kg Yup! Seen that on the manual too! So far, I gathered some stuff for the questions I had. One guy at reddit said that build quality on this thing is very good, with good keys and everything. The only thing that seems a little flimsy are the buttons (maybe to prot...

Re: Moog Grandmother

Still early to actually have an opinion on it. For now, I’m curious about several things that I know I won’t find on the web for at least a few more weeks. One, is it nicely build, as the Sub family, or is it something more plasticky? The chassis on it is very different... the buttons too. Two, the ...

Re: Voyager RME issue

Hi, I’m a new Voyager user too. I don’t know exactly if it comes from the OS or not. Did this start only after you’ve updated your Voyager or was it something present before, even if not as bad? It’s important to know this, and the reason is quite simple: maybe it wasn’t functional even before the u...

Re: Share a picture of your Minimoog in its habitat

Some nice pictures here guys... that XL is just beautiful. All the Ds are also iconic! Beautiful rooms.

I've shared one of mine, but it's not exactly in its habitat yet - I have some arrangement of synths to be done. :)
