Re: Some advice please from a novice!

(yes I am old !) The Sub37 brought me back into synths. It absolutely does the classic sounds you know and love from the past. Yeah that is exactly what I was getting at. I first saw the SUB 37 and SUB Phatty at a local music shop and just started messing with it. I too was thinking "Man this ...

Re: Some advice please from a novice!

Engaging in something that brings you joy is NEVER a waste of time. You only live once. Yeah I find this very true. To the OP, you at least have a head start in that in can/did play keyboards before. I have never really played keyboard, I've actually "messed" around with drumming as a hob...

Re: What Moog to get?

I think the best "first Moog" is the sub37. Specifically, I have mine run into an MF-104m and an H9. So I can speak first hand that it will make the sounds you said you want to make. They voyager is a different animal. I have one of those also. They CAN make similar sounds as each other, ...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

I will be building a box using a zener diode regulator, so 0 to +5 Volts will pass, but anything beyond +5 won't. This will allow octaves to stay the same and not fry the S37. I will report back with my findings in the next few weeks. That would be cool, I did pick up a couple Pots and sockets to m...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

jsharpphoto I understand where you’re coming from and you have perfectly valid points. I am just looking at possible alternatives, partly in that I do like the simplicity of the attenuator cables but also to me (and I am speaking about me) it seems a little like you don’t have exact control on how m...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

Just use the koma electronic attentuator cables. I thought about that, and it is a pretty simple solution but it will be $65.00+ for the minimum of (8) that I need if I want to use them on a gate and $90.00+ if I want to use them the gates and CV's. And although that isn't going to break the bank I...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

Sorry coming in a little late to the party. I am also pretty new to Synths but have a big case of GAS with first getting a SUB 37, then Werkstatt, Mother-32 on great sale and Minitaur on same sale. I just picked up a Beatstep Pro and have been pursuing the Interwebs about this high voltage issue wit...

Re: 104M available!

Ahh Ok, thank you for your response. Of course now that I looked into it a little more I came across an post on another site mentioned that same fact. Too bad. It's a bit more change than I want spare right now. I would like to get a delay but I don't really need to spend that much money. Even at MS...

Re: 104M available!

Excuse me for my ignorance, I am very new to Synths with just getting my Sub 37 and I might have not gotten the memo but did Moog drop the MF-104M completely or is it just behind in production? Or is there some sort of replacement being sorted out? There is one local here on consignment at Control V...
