Re: Moog System 35 from Hell!!!!
Sounds like a front panel grounding issue but surely there's nothing in the 921B that should be that sensitive to stray capacitance effects etc. Maybe some kind of high-gain amplification effect happening unintentionally (floating/disconnected transistor lead?). Does it play and track properly when ...

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?
I just bought Mother 32 and i cant make it to receive midi from my Komplete Kontrol S61. Midi OUT from S61 to Midi in Mother 32 but no midi received on the Moog. I realy don't know what to do. Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you checked the MIDI send and receive channel settings? M32 default is ...

Re: Bass overload in my band
Thanks for the support from everyone. I dont have access to the music files we have on hard drive so I cannot put it on soundcloud. Here is a link though that should give you direct access. https://www.dropbox.com/s/x38ndgbl8rjom2h/3%20-%20%28Ghosting%29%20June%2017%202016%20GoEP.mp3?dl=0 It takes ...

Re: replacement jacks?
I had this problem very shortly after purchasing 2 Mothers. Moog will take it back and replace the jack. It was over tightened during production which left the guts hanging by a thread. It worked but the cable could move back and forth when plugged in. Plugging and unplugging a few times pulled the...

Re: Bass overload in my band
Seriously Sub Guy, don't be shy. I've viewed and responded often to your posts about the Minimoog D (classic vs reissue) versus the Sub-37, versus the M32 etc. and you always emphasise your need for dark (or preferably darker), bass-driven elements in your music, which you think the Minimoog D best ...

Re: Bass overload in my band
Thanks for the replies. Since my last post stated that the problem is solved I just didn't check the thread after that. I appreciate the responses but we did solve it in the way I stated above with no hard feelings of any kind. The Moog bass is the foundation of our sound and no one wanted to limit...

Re: Model D reissue Mods
You can tune your reissued Minimoog yourself if have a decent voltmeter. It shouldn't need tuning any time soon either unless you live in an extreme climate. Always let it warm up before worrying about it being in tune :-) I totally forgot that people tune synths with meters. :D Kevin always used t...

Re: Eurorack mixer for Tier 3 x mother 32
Hi MrJJH I use a simple Mackie 402 VLZ4 4-channel mixer with my modular (which includes 3 Mother 32s and lots of other stuff). I feed the stereo output from that into my main mixer, or directly into my audio interface. The Mackie VLZ can handle any 'hot' modular outputs with no problems at all. Dedi...

Re: Model D reissue Mods
Just don't  There are a zillion mods for the original vintage Ds but hardly any of them are worth the effort and the resultant drop in resale value. If I buy a vintage D for a restoration project I don't want one that's been hacked about. You can tune your reissued Minimoog yourself if have a...

Re: replacement jacks?
thank you, i already asked at the reseller. no answer yet. i just wanted to know in case that they tell me it's users fault if those break. definately they shouldn't in the first place when just removing a patch cable and having the whole metal part still on that cable... No, it's not your fault if...

Re: Sub 37 unstable Feedback
Yes it is normal behaviour, and even desirable to some (including me).
Feedback by its very nature is inherently unstable and unpredictable and that's what makes it a fun and creative opportunity.
Check out Robert Fripp and Brian Eno's collaborations.

Re: Mother 32 + Micromoog Help
I have the same problem with my Moog Voyager Old School which tracks at around 0.93v/Oct. The problem is well known and Moog could have fixed this issue quite simply, for pennies, but they didn't. Moog, for some insane reason decided it was "unimportant" that the oscillators tracked at pre...

Re: replacement jacks?
Possibly, but the jack shouldn't break in the first place. If your Mother 32 is under warranty (and it should be) then just return it to Moog to get it fixed. How did the jack socket break? I've seen a few instances now on the Mother 32 of over-tightening the panel nut which causes the threaded meta...

Re: Bass overload in my band
Is any of your music available online, Sub Guy, so we might have a rough idea of the problem you are trying to address? You can't just EQ out sounds you don't like and expect to get an accurate representation of the original performance. @BanoFabry - Recording engineers use EQ (moderately) to fine t...

Re: NAMM 2017 - Moog Music
Well, as Moog has already bitten the Eurorack bullet, I'd like to see them offer some Eurorack modules to fill up those empty rack spaces. Filters and oscillators obviously, but the complex envelopes from the Sub-37 would be a huge draw for me.
