LFO. Vibrato effect

I posted a while ago on this subject but am still experimenting. Looking for a definitive, industry standard LFO musical vibrato I’m taking a low frequency sine wave from a 921 and feeding that to a VCA top left input. From the top right output I feed that to the attenuator and switch on a CP3 which...

Re: 907. Schematic ...faults ?

Yes...that’s the main source of schematic error / additions. However, the author specifies that a lot of these changes are assumptions and guess work as well some serious work he has put in. I have collected quite a few images of the interiors of 907 and 914 but working out what component is what is...

907. Schematic ...faults ?

I know there are one of two schematic errors in the 914 ..mainly resistors. Does anyone have any knowledge of any errors in the 907 schematic? My cloned 907 with inductors has been in use for a couple of years but Ive never been totally satisfied with it. I cut the R43 which attenuates the signal to...

Re: Slowing down 911 eg ..possible ?

Later that day......

added 10u cap = hardly any difference.

added 100u cap gives a marked slowing down of attack/ decay etc. Going to be quite a useful feature.

Re: Slowing down 911 eg ..possible ?

I received a reply from Alan of AJH synths. These are great authentic sounding modules true to Minimoog sound but with more versatility and I’ve always had great support and help from Alan. So the answer quite simply is that he achieved the effect of slower ADSR by adding a second similar capacitor ...

Re: Slowing down 911 eg ..possible ?

Yes..my results as well ..!

I’m pretty sure the big 10u capacitor is not the answer, it’s somewhere else.

If I get a reply from Alan I’ll post it.

Re: Slowing down 911 eg ..possible ?

I think I once tried varying the 10u cap of the 911 but the results were not very good.

I may write to Alan as I’ve been in contact before and ask him if he’s willing to give me a clue as to how they did it. Don’t forget this is the Mini Moog contour circuit not the 911 he’s modified,

Re: Slowing down 911 eg ..possible ?

Thanks for your replies .. The AJH adsr module has a switch marked as ‘slow’ which slows down the attack time making the angle of attack quite slow and this is quite a good feature. I’m not sure of the effects on the DSR section as I’m mainly interested in the slow attack and yes in reply I suppose ...

Slowing down 911 eg ..possible ?

I notice that the clone Minimoog contour envelope ADSR module, by AJH...has a simple switch that toggles from normal to slow, effecting all 4 stages. I have one of these and the effect is quite good. I wondered how this is done and if it could be transferred to a modified 911 ? Some sort of switch a...

Re: Prodigy ...S trig ?

Till..... Many many thanks for super photos and reply ...this is SO helpful ! Can you tell me what the board at the upper left of the keyboard is ? I know that’s where the output is etc but it looks like there’s components it’s hard to see. . Is it the Midi CV processor ? I believe that the main boa...

Prodigy ...S trig ?

Doing some quick research on the Prodigy...

Main query is the keyboard controller..does it work via S trig or V trig ?
also is conversion to cv/midi straight forward via Kenton etc for
DIY ...I have a fair amount of experience. ...?

Also is there a euro clone of the prodigy ?

Re: New Module Photos

A superb effort here..an absolute goldmine of info and excellent clear and highly detailed photography.
If only this was available 25 years ago when the best information available was in rare unavailable books containing the odd blurred image at best.
Well done for all your dedicated work.

Re: Mini Mod filter .....unexpected behaviour.

The MiniMod module was fine...it didn’t have any faults.
The problem had something to do with power supply ..or power supply connector..as yet I don’t exactly know what but changing the power supply cured the problem.
