Simon Power from SonicState contacted me some months back regarding my analogue video interviews ... there are clips used in a few of the synth countdowns and I believe my mate Richard (RLMusic) offered soundbytes and photos from his large collection. I didn't have anything to do with the No. 1 spot...

I bought my Voyader SE direct from moog when it was possible to do so (now they direct you to Turnkeys). My unit was one of the first batch to be shipped in September 2001 (wow, what a long time ago!). Including Shipping, TAX and Duty it cost me under £2400 when Turnkeys was selling it for £2999 but...

So it appears the new moogspace guy "Fentro" has been fired after 6 days on the job (sorry about that Scott but you look like you got other irons in the fire).

I don't understand why this is so diffecult for moog to set-up and get right?

What now?

Yeah but Kevin, you have probably had through your hands more vintage kit then anyone on this forum ;-)

I have "owned" a lot of vintage gear but there's still quite a few synths/units that I would just like to have the pleasure to play for an afternoon... I wouldn't need to own them.

Some of the desire to own a lot of synths may be general interest rather than musical need. Some people buy and sell regularly, which I suspect is due to wanting to own a synth for a while to find out what it really feels like. Yes this was me for a while... new found money in my mid 30's and wanti...

I think you are right PHC. In my experience I ended up becoming a "collector" and not a musician... the more vintage synths I bought the less music I played and recorded. I would spend hours tweaking sounds from different synths, doing A/B comparisons, talking with fellow collectors and a ...

Yeah, never been into modular systems, mainly because of the hugely inflated prices moog systems go for in the UK ... you know it's a choice between a 55 and a family car! I have owned pretty much every moog synth throughout the years with the exception of The Liberation... and I only owned a Polymo...

Yes... sad really but also refreshing.

Just left with a Memorymoog, Voyager SE, Source and Opus 3.

(as well as a Rhodes Chroma, Korg Polysix and mini700 and an Arp Pro-Soloist).

Actually Rick does the Comedy TV show stuff in the UK because he's broke ... it's rather sad really, other then the fact that he is actually genuinly funny. I doubt very much he gets paid much to appear on a BBC quizshow or to host the London Comedy Club. Having been a longtime UK, RW fan it's funny...

Dave Lovelace must be trying to communicate with me directly! I went through a divorce but unlike this strip, it went the otherway, I ended up selling my moog collection ... I would go into the studio and it would take 20-30 minutes to turn everything on and get everything warmed up and by that time...

I have two more videos... Bob giving a lecture at the 2004 Triptych Festival in Scotland and a private talk where Bob talks through the front panel of the Voyager and explains exactly what all the functions are - great stuff.

These will go up shortly.

I never subscribed personally so I have lost nothing. In my experience, with new equipment and especially software it's alway wise to sit back and wait a little, wait for the firmware upgrades and the software updates to appear - if you do want to be an "early adopter" then you need to und...

Till ... I think that might be a little strong! Don't get me wrong though, as I think you are right but i doubt anyone is NOT going to buy a moog just because the moogspace sucks (when the general public forum is just fine). After my rant, I did get a message from Amos saying that he had sent a mess...

Bob Moog's 2004 talk in London

This is the event I filmed for Turnkeys Music Store when Bob visited the UK in May 2004. Originally this video was produced to sit along side the Voyager display stand within the London store. The event was supposed to happen in another venue but due to a freak storm the original venue had no power ...
