Re: New from Moog!!! 'The Ladder' 500 series Filter
They were thinking they are a business that needs to expand their horizons and make income, which is the goal of any business. No business would survive without profit margins, and just because this product's not for you, doesn't mean you can't enjoy their other stuff. Modern studios buy 500 series ...

Re: Ladder Filter
Its funny how whenever moog releases a new product , immediately people get offended that it wasn't designed specificly for them. Granted this filter is lacking both in synth interface and a fundamental studio interface, the sidechain (basically an envelope follower for an external source other than...

Lunchbox is a hugely popular format now, with very good low price modules and even cheaper lunchboxes/power racks by other manufacturers out there. Combining high quality sound reproduction and analog synthesis is the logical way to go. Everything has pretty much been done in electronic music at thi...

Re: MF-101 Control Voltage question
Gb (0) is 23.12hz and Gb (9) is about 11 839.84 hz, so about 9 octaves. BTW can somebody explain to me what negative voltage is? Is is just a positive voltage with opposite polarity? No one has ever given me a clear answer.

Maybe they should have charged $100+ for this app. It seems to legitimize software, it works for Universal Audio. They slap a famous vintage name on a plugin and charge over $300 for a questionable quality product. But an essentially free app that is actually useful is a good way to get exposure and...

From the neuron that fires, to the mechanical action of the finger or voice, a oneness with electricity and magnetism becomes. Patch an LFO to the extremely low voltage dendrites, and up and down in a sinusoidal drive the electrons swim one by one, as one, flow into the void. Sample the thought, hol...

Re: There Can Be Only One
Get a ring mod and save up to buy a space echo. A space echo in good shape with new tape is a magical box. I run the model D through it and the hair on the back of my neck stands up. The main appeal of tape is the subtle second and third harmonic distortions which seem to surround a track that has c...

Re:
For now, I'm going to get my Studio Electronics SE-1 upgraded and see how that turns out. Nothing wrong with that, SE-1x is a great synth, with a juicy and sexy sound :D Let's put it this way... SE-1x is Halle Berry, Voyager is Cate Blanchett, both different, both beautiful and talented. Model D is...

Re: Moog Voyager or Upgrade SE-1 to SE-1X?
"Take the model D" Not so sure about that. The Voyager, as by pretty common consensus is a totally different animal. They've been compared to death, but I had both for a couple of years, from which I concluded that the model d's basic sound was far superior: rawer, grittier, more colorful ...

Re: model d pitch wheel detent
Thanks for the response. It turns out the tiny hex screw hidden in the wheel was loose. I didn't even know it was there. I turned the wheel around like you said, hammered down the metal stoppers and tighted the screw, good as new. I can actually control the pitch way better now, glad it happened. Go...

This sounds like a bank issue to me. I had the same thing happen to me, but it turned out the bank had a hold on the funds. If you transferred the money from your bank account, you might contact them.

model d pitch wheel detent
Seems like it's loose or something. It won't return accurately to the correct pitch, perhaps because there's too much play in the detent. Any suggestions? I tried tightening the screw on the mechanism, but no luck. Maybe the recess in the actual wheel is worn?
