Re: Prodigy, or a more 'modern' moog / synth?

Portamental, if I recall correctly, you have one or more Micromoogs. Why would you not suggest a Micromoog? Yes I do have a micro. I overlooked the Micro a while back, when I was shopping synths by specifications instead of by ears. Finally, I went for one and I am glad I did. Very capable machine ...

Re: Voyager keyboard - how good is it?

Interesting. Mine (OS) has 8 screws. It's ok, not great. Model D plays much better.

Re: Line selector pedal for gate signals? HELP

A simple expression pedal in the gate jack will trigger the gate. No led though.

Or use it in the CP-251 mixer section along with the Dark Time and trigger from either.

Re: Prodigy, or a more 'modern' moog / synth?

Good advice from EMwhite. It's hard to depict the sound of a synth with a single word. I like the word vintage as it is so inclusive yet appropriate, but to be more specific, I would say : the Voyager is juicy, the Prodigy is organic, the model D is gritty. The Prodigy is one of my favorites because...

True on all counts. Luckily I have a good (and well connected) tech. He does the walking and I do the spending.

Re: Prodigy, or a more 'modern' moog / synth?

I would pick a Prodigy over a modern Moog every day of the week and week-ends too. My Prodigy #2 (I got 2, both in top shape) gets more play than my Voyager, LP and Minitaur combined. But then, I am just a vintage freak. I'll leave it at that.

Thank you for this heartfelt testimonial.

And no, coffee table is not an option for my one-day-soon-I-hope-to-be-refurbished Polymoog synth ;)

Re: Slim Phatty ARP

I am not sure how and if it can be done with the arpeggiator. Normally a sequencer is used, some say at 166, i prefer 160 bpm. Your gear list say you have a Voyager. Better than the Slim to do the sequence. Use only one oscillator, square wave. During the run, you will want to turn the Cut-off, reso...

Re: Biggest Pipe Organ in the World (7 manuals)...

I will remember all my life the experience of listening to a Casavant 6500 Pipes Organ at Montreal's Basilique Notre-Dame Church, when I was about 8 years old. I was there just a few years ago for a concert with the OSM. Being blessed to live just a few kilometers from the Casavant factory, I spent...
