Re: not to stir up trouble, but...
I beg to differ. Though I've never played one, every video I have seen sounds exactly like a model D.

Re: not to stir up trouble, but...
Yeah I drive a beat up 11 year old POS. I'd much rather look like an ass driving than playing a softsynth.

Re: Moog's Next Polysynth?
Yes, I thought my comments were obviously absurd enough that everyone would get that these are topics that have been debated to death. The memorymoog is not worth it at all. Polyphonic and moog don't mix. I think that's why they have stayed away, except for chaining phatties. Moog has always been ab...

oscilloscope XY
Can anyone tell me what lead to connect probes to when testing audio phase between two balanced (from XLR) signals in XY mode? Is is hot or cold, or somehow both or one and ground? Sorry, just got my first o-scope, an ancient tektronics 475.

Re: not to stir up trouble, but...
Got mine for $2300 on ebay about 2 years ago. Has been totally problem free except for a worn pitch wheel detent, but just flipped it around. Worth every penny. I realize though that it is made for a keyboard player specifically. If you're more of a music programmer, the voyager is a better choice.

Re: Moog's Next Polysynth?
Another idea no one's brought up: I think Moog should make a new modular system. And why hasn't anyone compared the Voyager to the Model D?

Re: Worldvision Home Video - Possible Moog Sound?
This is what you're hearing on this version: Don Dorsey used the following synthesizers to create the soundtrack: Moog Model III, Mini-Moog, Steiner-Parker Synthacon, Oberheim 8-voice, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, Fender Rhodes Piano, New England Digital Synclavier II, Bode 7702 Vocoder, Roland MK...

Strig from cp-251/mp2o1
Is there a good way to s-trig from cp-251. I can trigger it intermittently with the LFO, but not consistently.

Re: not to stir up trouble, but...
The model D just feels like an instrument in your hands, like a violin or something. When I had the voyager, I felt more of a disconnect between myself and the instrument, like hitting a key was more like pressing a button, while with the model D it's to me more like plucking a string. And the proce...

Sounds like an oberheim 2 voice to me.
