Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Just wanted to press the "pay"-button before I give you respond. I'm now a proud owner of and MM for just a few minutes. But I've to wait for his long jurney, and after his metamorphosis into a Lamm-like for about one year. A few weeks ago I had a short talk with Rudi and he confirmed aft...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Yes I can confirm this. The MM can be upgraded to be fully reliable !!! Completely new PSU must be installed, a bulk of components must be swapped, units must be cleaned. At the end the tuning-stability will be enhanced significantly but not for 100%. As I know sound will be the same. It's obviosly...

Re: Replace Memorymoog+ psu with Polymoog 203A psu
Hi, these two techs are mostly engaged with building new PSUs in extraordinary quality for MMs and Polys. As I know both PSUs are generally the same but not completely. I have been told PSUs should be swapped in any case on both because of heat, wheight and not good working. I'd not advise you to pu...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Hi Alien, That JMJ video is amazing (and also very sad !!). Thats a seriously high pressure situation to be in on a gig !! :( My friends MemoryMoog was totally unreliable when he bought it a couple of years ago for around 2,000 GBP. But he sent it to Rudi who worked on it for 6 x weeks and charged ...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Hi Sunny, To be honest, most people in the audience would not even notice if an instrument was out of tune. And neither would most GUITARISTS !! :o Paul -Depends on general gain-level -Depends on the mix -Depends on music-style -Depends on the audience But in general you're right......80-90% of the...

Re: Where Are All those Few "Blue Marvins" ?
Well I presumed, that the most would be in private property, but I believed the one and the other would show what he has and make up a show from time to time.......well,......I think they're kept safe in secure places as collector items. What a pity . :( My original intension had been to veryfy the ...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Hi Paul, I've always been in the belief through the decades all Ds have more or less the same extraordinary sound-qualities. But recently I've talked to a salesman in a big store and he said , he had some that sound weak, and other-ones who sound very powerful. I don't know what about this, but it's...

Re: New Poly in Preparation
Hi my lads and girls, Just wanna let you share in some way to these good news I've got recently. Some people are working now heavily on the continuing of an old vintage polysynth of the early days. I don't know, if it'll be an upgraded version or a completely new conception or anything else. But it...

Where Are All those Few "Blue Marvins" ?
Hello, as Kenneth was so kind and has told us Moog would be now the new owner of the ARP copyright, I think I don't need to have a bad conscience to post this in the Moog forum. From this, I think, it would be probaly reasonable to start here a new heading for the ARP synths. I know, Moog doesn't wa...

Re: Best cities for electronic music and art
One of the "Big Popes" of experimental synth-music is still living in a small town near Freiburg/Germany. His name is Weinhold. But I don't know if he's still active like previously. He has done over the decades tons of recordings. In the last ten years I had no contact with him any more, ...
