Re: Polymoog, Resonator "Gain"-Slider
Thank you SO much, you're SO lovely ! :D I'll begin to fight with that bugger in a few days and I hope I won't get hung in the wire-jungle of the rearside of the panel. Comitting suicide would be the more comfortable way, I think................... I think it would be more easy to fix the ele...

Re: Polymoog, Resonator "Gain"-Slider
It might be Ta or Tb, rather and not 7a and 7b ? If that's the case, there are two meaning depending on where the sliders were produced: In Europe Ta means linear taper, and Tb means audio taper or log taper In USA Ta means audio taper or log taper, and Tb means linear taper You can test it with a ...

Polymoog, Resonator "Gain"-Slider
Urgent question: A Gain-fader of the Resonator section got out of function and I've found out that it has got broken. It's section is fully working. I've been told by my tech that I need a: 10kOhm logarithmic ("Audio" or "A") for replacing. I've two in stock and there's written o...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
I'm with you Paul, I can understand you very well as I had to carry this bugger around in the 80s for studio recordings and had to lend me a self-made case. My right arm is now twice as long as the left.

Re: Replace Memorymoog+ psu with Polymoog 203A psu
Listen to me also ! Throw out that bloody old stuff. My tech has built in the last few weeks an pretty exclusive one with NO FAN needed and VERY modern. He burned in all new parts for extrem reliability, presicion and long-life. These are the most true words when Kevin says, it's the heart of the sy...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
I do not recommend a softcase for a minimoog, the wood will get damaged if the case takes a hit. Buy a hard case. d.t.o !!!!!!!! I'm gigging now for a long time and with musicians with every sorts of instruments and I know what I'm talking about. Not only for the wood but also for the electronics. :D

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
I like to see you enjoying your new instrument, but if you put big stickers on the case, everyone who probably like to steel will know what he'll have after. In my native language we have a proverb:"Occasions make thieves" But if you like to have some, as I know there are producers where ...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Hi my lads, yes the tone won't be centered for a 100% after using the pitch-wheel. That sometimes had formerly been annoying for me as well. The plastic parts are somewhat elastic and I thought about let producing a precision mechanic the same plastic parts in brass for better stability. But I didn'...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Hi Kevin, Fwiw, these later oscillators track and are much less prone to drift. Apparently, this MiniMoog has NEVER drifted in and out of tune since the date of purchase. The seller said it is as stable as houses in this respect. MINE AS WELL !!!!!!! What you play is ultimately more important than ...

First of all congrats, Paul ! You may let us have some pics. :D BTW, what about the MM ? You let drop ? And thank you so much, Kevin ! When I'm right they are all above the 10175.....? Mine is above the 12900..... The difference between the older and the newer had now often been discussed. Some say ...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
A MemoryMoog has come up for sale and the serial number is 30** . It was serviced around 1999 and is a LAMM. But i am not sure if Rudi Linhard or Bob Moog serviced and made the modifications on it. i am waiting to hear back from Rudi to see if he has any records of servicing this model. In any <spa...

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
Are there not any EQUIVALENT parts which can be used as a substitute ?? Obviously not. As I've been told they're completely concepted and produced by Roland. They've only been produced for the Jupi 8 exclusivly. Oh S### !! So what happens when something goes WRONG with the electronics ?? Oh Y...
