Re: OldSchool key problem?
Muskys : try pressing the lowest F and keep it down, then two key simultaneously, then release the keys simultaneously... no sound any more... VCA is cut off Tested again, in both modes. F holds after release of 2 or more keys. I have one of the latest OS's. It's possible this was a bug that was fi...

Re: OldSchool key problem?
ok, so to make sure I'm doing this right, if you press and hold down lowest F then press and release 2 or more notes while still holding F, the note drops? Hmm. I tested on my OS and regardless of how many keys I press and let go while holding F, it always goes to F.

324, 837 & 074 are pin for pin the same. All are interchangeable. Shouldn't need any other changes. Be sure to drop in an IC socket for easy swappage in case it's not to your liking.

Re: A trick to make the Voyager sound better
So, I just took a peak into my OS and found the headphone jack is driven by an LM837, which is designed for "professional audio applications". It's the same pinout as a TL074, so I wonder if this was something that was caught and corrected with new boards. Mine is from the second run of OS...

Check out the Strymon El Capitstan. Great delay pedal with spring reverb as a hidden feature.

Absolutely!MC wrote:As simple simon as the Prodigy is, it has one of the meanest sounding hard syncs in the business!
Don't get me wrong, I love my Prodigy and wouldn't sell it for anything! But, the prices they fetch these days are rediculous.

Re: I've been offered a Moog Prodigy
Thanks Muksys, Apparently the very early Prodigys DID have some tuning problems despite their heated oscillators. Embarrassingly, I already had the info regarding these mods and serial numbers on my site. http://www.synthfool.com/docs/Moog/prodigymods.pdf Ya know, I think that's where the docs were...

Re: I've been offered a Moog Prodigy
The oscillators are quite unstable--they would go way out of tune if a cold wind blew in. I wouldn't paint all Prodigys with the same "unstable tuning" brush. The osc design of the Prodigy includes circuits that heat them up to a specific temperature. Set properly, external temperatures s...
