Re: need help with vocoder levels
It's not ideal, but you could try turning the vocals up to the point of feedback, then eq-ing it to stop the feedback. Also part of your problem may be caused by the rest of the band getting picked up by the vocal mic. (for live I generally cut all the bass from mics, then turn down the treble if it...

Re: need help with vocoder levels
I would try adding some compression, it may help (or make it worse). Also, I've read that a Bode frequency shifter can be used to offset a signal by 1 Hz, which is an inaudible difference, but also enough of a difference to stop feedback. You don't happen to have a frequency shifter, do you?

Re: Midi Chain
Try plugging the sampler into the gaia, then midi thru to the phatty and then make sure the arp is set to midi clock. If the phatty is the last device on the midi chain it doesn't matter if it wont pass the midi clock.

Don't forget something to put them on, like a keyboard stand and/or a folding table.

Re: minitaur bug
Another way to handle midi notes which are out of range would be to transpose them down a couple octaves (or even better, for each octave out of range, drop it another octave, such that each succsesive octave is one lower than the last). I think this would be a cool solution, as it avoids notes drop...

Re: minitaur bug
I called it a bug because in the manual it says "note values of 73 and higher are ignored"

minitaur bug
I thought that the minitaur was supposed to ingore midi notes higher than one octave above middle c. In reality it responds to higher midi notes, but only plays the highest note of it's range. This is annoying and should be changed such that notes which are too high are either completely ignored, or...

Re: minitaur sticker typo?
I was just looking at stuff on the moog web page, and they have more things bearing the "your bass are belong to us", so, i don't think it's a typo, though now I wonder why they decided to use caveman grammar. Maybe it's just too much bass for proper english?

This is possible. Pot mapping can be used to assign the desired second parameter to another knob.EricK wrote:I don't like the fact that you can't adjust more than one parameter at a time on a module (for instance, you can't adjust the filter cutoff and resonance simultaneously).

Re: Think I fried my Frexbox :(
I've had my freqbox cut out like you described a couple times. All I did was cycle the power and all was normal again. I haven't had that problem since I moved from that house, so I think power issues can do weird things to the freqbox, but mine's not fried, and hopefully yours is not either.
