I brought my RA Moog Minimoog to the Moog store and yes the reissue did nail the sound.

I recall that the instructions for Heinz's supply said not to power it without being connected to load. Do you have the service manual with schematics? If so page 53 or 54 (near the very end of the manual) shows the original power supply schematic. Tried out the MO at Sweetwater's Gearfest this weekend.

As a Memorymoog owner - I like it. It passed my "acid test".

The initial production was 1000 units, but demand was so strong that they built another 500 units.

Can't you put a gooseneck lamp on it? There's a port on the rear panel for it.

I have heard of that trick from respected sources, have not tried it myself.
