Re: Books
I feel I would benefit from reading about analogue synthesis principles in a little more detail in order to get on to the next stage in my learning curve. Can anyone recommend any good, plain language books on the subject? Hi Nick, Having been an Associate Professor of Music Synthesis at Berklee Co...

Amazingly heavy I think you mean :D. I have to agree. In this day and age of cheap and reliable wireless MIDI transmitters/receivers it would seem far more effective to have a strap on controller that's lightweight and has lots of real-time knobs/sliders that can control any/all of your analog gear...

Re: Sorry, not Moog related - The Who/Baba O'Riley
How the hell did The Who get that sound on Baba O'Riley from Who's Next? I've made synth programs for Baba O'Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again, and Eminence Front on almost every synth I've ever owned. But here's a video showing how to at least roughly emulate these effects with a very cool delay pedal...

In my 101, I added a switched jack on the back, so that with no additional audio source plugged in, the standard audio in goes to the envelope follower as well as the filter. When the second source is plugged in, then that audio goes to the follower, and the main audio source is processed by the fi...

Hi All, A few months ago I needed a Theremin to do a couple of video demos and signed one out. Its wood grain pattern blew me away; it seemed to radiate from the two Volume antenna connections and then flow to the Pitch connection in a cool, organic way. After making the demo videos I agonized about...

Theremin Trill Trick
Hi Gang, I'm being a "good" Dad and am trusting my 4th Grade son to take my precious Theremin to school as part of his Science Fair project about capacitance. In the short time he's had it he's already come up with a cool performance trick: On an Etherwave Plus, move the jumper so that the...

Re: Will a fv500 work as an expression pedal with my mf101
I purchased an fv500H to use as an expression to control cutoff and it's definitely not working. Hi VLtone, While technically, volume pedals can work as controller pedals, I think your situation would be much easier using dedicated continuous controller pedals. I've had success with these: http://w...

Re: Crossing the Steams - Joining the Digital And Analogue W
For a while now, I have been thinking about how to join the digital and analogue worlds. Hi Lux_Seeker, I too believe in the beauty of sonically blending various synthesis methods. I know you're probably hip to these, but here are three of the many ways I'd try this: MP-201's MIDI ->CV (Do you have...

In that case you should at least *try* the MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay:The Analog Organist wrote:so it's $700+ or nothing.
I don't need the pedal for sound effects, but only for giving more
depth to my Voyager OS's musicality.
