Minimoog Plastic Panel Overlay...

Can't seem to find too much info on this-- I just picked up a mini today, and it seems that the plastic overlay on both the panel and modwheel section is delaminating pretty bad... has anyone ever endeavored to peel it off before? Not sure if this would be a terrible idea if the text will rub off af...

Temporarily shorting pin 8&9 on U3 (40106) should trigger the brass if there is a component causing the ic to be stuck low. It could also be just a dead U3 as well. The heart of the brass control and triggering is the 40106. Really could be anything though... even a dead op amp in the mixer sect...
