Re: Expression pedal with Sub 37

A CP-251 would help with this: http://www.moogmusic.com/products/moogerfoogers/cp-251-moogerfooger-control-processor But a simpler solution might be to get a controller (box or keyboard) that has TRS Continuous Footcontroller inputs which can be remapped to various MIDI commands, including CC#s, Pi...

Re: Moog Sub37 Knob Replacement.

I think that moog uses its own style of knob, so I would imagine that identical replacements would need to be thru them. Dont know if the new knobs are similar to the 'old' ones- if they are maybe look for a dealer that specializes in vintage synth parts. Im sure that there are mini moog replacement...

Re: Sub 37 Osc Variance

thats what i was thinking for 'normal' use , but the parameter is pretty wide- goes up to 40c. w/ lends for some cool spacey and ethereal sounds; kinda begs for mod destination. I would have thought that the effect would sound similar to subtle detuning w/the freq knob, but it is pretty different.

Sub 37 Osc Variance

Lets talk about oscillator variance- its a new parameter in the upcoming 37 1.1 FW. Ostensibly, i understand what it is and how it works, but in practice...less so. Id like to hear other's thoughts/ experiences. How much osc variance would one find on a 'classic' vintage synth, like the model d? Wou...

Re: Sub 37 and boomerang III looper- possible midi thru glit

Well, yeah- i think. The folks at Boomerang were pretty helpful. Apparently, the III communicates with the 'side car' expansion pedal over midi ch 16 ( tho there is no mention of that in their manual) Pretty sure that my looper was responding to my bandmate's electribe (which was also on ch16) I hav...

Re: Sub37 gig bag vs case?

I dont think that the straps will mar the sides. I usually dont fasten the straps, but it is more fear of how they cross right over the knobs. I dont like the idea of any lateral force pushing knobs from the side. I think the design may have worked better w/ the little phatty's less clustered panels...

Re: Sub37 gig bag vs case?

Oof! I can imagine. My sub 37 is heavy enough on its own w/o an additional 30lbs of case.

Re: Sub37 gig bag vs case?

the gig bag is decent. It'll protect against small bumps/ scuffs but it is not going to do much for major spills. if you are careful ( and dont let other move your stuff and dont stack anything on top of it.... ) it should suffice. I have one and it is adequate for local gigs and going to/ from prac...

Sub 37 and boomerang III looper- possible midi thru glitch?

Hi everyone, I have a boomerang III loop pedal (and love it BTW) but since I added the sub 37 between it and the incoming midi signal from my band mate's drum machine, I occasionally have a situation where all audio from the boomerang is muted- the only remedy I know is to unplug the looper and re-p...

Re: New user here, two questions about firmware 1.1 sequence

I wouldnt sweat the FW upgrades to much. I think that Ive used both C6 and Sysex Librarian on a mac for FW upgrades, never had a problem. Once sending one of the file didnt work properly... but no bricking- I just resent the file and it worked. ( think that I sent the file too soon after the previou...
