Re: ClusterFlux Mod

Quick question: Have you put the ADA into the insert loop of the ClusterFlux? By far my favourite feature of this pedal.

As far as your search for the specific range - a phone call directly to the Moog "custom shop" may be worthwhile.

Re: Foogers with Electro-Harmonix 8-step sequencer

Its really a decent solution for the price - as soon as I found out they were available I got one. There are a few quirks about it, but most of them don't matter or can be polished with a CP. It really covers a lot of ground and if combined with a DAW / Midi Sequencer it goes further - most importan...

Re: Foogers with Electro-Harmonix 8-step sequencer

The 8-step really completed a void I had in my setup. For the "rock band" use, it works well to turn your filter and your phaser into step filters sync'd to the tempo. You could probably use it to get two or more speeds of trem from the 102, with a ramp up in speed. It really is such a use...

Re: Modify CF on a Bass MuRF

Try contacting Moog directly - may a phone call. They are pretty good about answering questions like this.

We have discovered the possibility of the 101 trigger mod, midi Murf stereo out mod and the 104 spillover mod this way.

Re: Modify CF on a Bass MuRF

I'm fairly certain that this has been discussed on the forum before - try searching for it.

From what I recall, no results in the way of success were reported. The MIDI MuRF does have this capability; that doesn't mean that it can be done, but is a solution to satisfy your needs.

Re: MF105m

It is deceiving when you click it on the first few times. It does feel like a one trick pony. In fact it just has a steep learning curve, one worth exploring. You can get some good sounds out of the box, but when you work to be creative with it the rewards are satisfying. Custom patterns & stere...

Re: MF-109M - yet another VCA/EnvGen mockup

I certainly don't feel poo-poo-d. Idea generating is about going deeper, and your explanation has. Iron Ether Subterranea is another to compare to the TWA. Not as tweak-able, but very similar. Both are a good idea really. The main difference being what appeals to the market - mono synth with EG VCA ...

Re: Drive or Boost

Well, Boost will force your amp to distort more if it does this with being driven harder, and Drive will generate its own world of distortion, and boost only slightly. The Drive is not a TS based pedal, and has quite a wide control over EQ. I'm sure that he TS "sound" may in fact be in the...

Re: MF-109M - yet another VCA/EnvGen mockup

Pitch shifting is over done in my opinion. I mean it sounds neat for a bit, and has its few uses, but it's already done well. HOG, POG, MicroSynth, Boss OC-2, Whammy 1,2 & 5, Bass Whammy, SuperEgo, MXR bass octave, PitchFactor, Rainbow Machine etc. there are so many of them now. I wouldn't buy a...

Re: MF-109M - yet another VCA/EnvGen mockup

Thanks for the kind words. The idea came through me. I'm really hoping Moog at least tries their iteration of this idea, and I would love to hear it. After all, they have some form of a design for each section of this pedal in all of their other designs. I wouldn't expect this to be "cheap"...

Re: MF-101 Envelope Negative Amount and Rate Questions

I used the power supply from MFOS to power the comparator; tag-boarded the whole thing; put into a plastic box. I saw the guitar to CV schem, but would really like to avoid adding extra circuits in my audio path - I'm really picky this way. 101 env out -> comparator trigger in -> Gate out -> CP atte...

Re: MF-101 Envelope Negative Amount and Rate Questions

That's how I started - volume swells. The whole synth pedal idea was cool but I wondered if I needed to automate that part, and decided that it would be fun to plan to. As synchronicity would prevail, Moog released the MF boost, also known as the VCA :). I will own one but not soon, I'm having too m...

Re: MF-101 Envelope Negative Amount and Rate Questions

Instruments: bass & guitar mainly. Some post processing as well, but I'm really focused on playing it the way it should sound, with only tone assistance at mix down and stereo separation. I should add that I mostly play in an improv jam scenario for fun and creative release. That's all that time...

Re: MF-101 Envelope Negative Amount and Rate Questions

I had thought about going the full ADSR route, but then decided that I just needed a simple sweep like the EHX. I use the lag processor on the CP to turn the square gate signal into a sloped sweep. The 8 Step can do something similar with a glide function, but it's not a musically predictable as the...
