Re: Sub 37: retrigger Arp/Seq on key press?

Can't wait for firmware 1.1, should have been out for a while now... any idea when it will finally be released? er, yes, it should have been out already. :? We are putting the final touches on an automated firmware update utility, which should be ready literally any day now (well, probably not this...

Re: Sub37 MIDI issues

Sorry if this posts twice but my first attempt did not propagate. #2) also when connected to my Kurzweil module there is a faint motorized clicking noise that is heard through the output of Kurzweil module when I twist any nob on the Sub37 (except the headphone volume knob). dunno about #1, but #2 ...

Re: Using Scala with the Sub 37 (or any other synth)

No, it is really possible to use Scala by itself, with Sub 37... I have done it... but it's complicated :) and I have not written a tutorial yet due to lack of time. Really, Scala gets zero points for user-friendliness. It is classic "academic software" in this regard. One thing I can say,...

Re: [Sub 37] Pitch wheel mis-calibrated?

I will look into this, sounds like there may be a subtle calibration bug in the pitch wheel. I would recommend against replacing any EEPROM until I've had a closer look. More soon... -Amos edit: I checked this morning and I don't see any problem in the code.. I am able to do a wrong calibration and ...

Re: sub37 version 1.1 release date?

Hi all... sorry for the additional delay. No it's definitely not feature creep holding us up at this point; the feature set is quite frozen until release. Right now we are putting the final touches on the automatic firmware-update utility. This updater has been sent out to all of our beta testers an...

Re: Sub37 LFO RANGES!? Low setting..

Low range sort of secretly exists in the Sub 37. I just haven't worked out how to easily switch between the three ranges. During the early design phases of the panel it was decided that there were too many buttons and LEDs in the mod section and some things had to go. Indicating low/med/high of the ...

Re: Minitaur + Ableton USB and MIDI

Hi gang! There's been some progress on this. We think we've determined why the Windows USB driver was not working for some people. It required a small change to the Minitaur firmware. If you are using the Minitaur on Windows and you wish the Editor and your DAW could use the USB MIDI at the same tim...

Re: Can a Sub 27 sound like this..?

here is a very quick and casual attempt to get a similar sound. First thing I notice is that the original is almost surely a 3-oscillator sound; I don't think it's possible to get that much phasing motion in the sound (without fx) otherwise. So, the Sub 37 only having 2 fully-independent oscillators...

Re: Slim Phatty CV Outs

yes it's technically possible to tap into the CV signals on a Slim Phatty. It would be a delicate job for a skilled tech with access to schematics, and would require a lot of soldering wires directly to surface-mount components. Basically I'd describe it as a similar difficulty level to chip-modding...

Re: Update SubPhatty

Yes there will be a Sub Phatty update. we were just talking about that in yesterday's engineering meeting. The details are not firm enough to announce (meaning the timing, and exactly what will be updated) but at least a small update is guaranteed before too long. :)

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates

A Transpose-function in the Preset-Edit menue would be fine, so that you can transpose a Sound and save it within the preset. Would be nice for Not-Emerson-like live-players like me ... 8) Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!! Being able to transpose the complete keyboard by a number of half tones would...

Re: Record modwheel position in step time sequence?

you need also to set the programmable mod source = "SEQ MOD" ... it's not quite like it's playing back the mod wheel directly, more like the mod wheel is a data-entry device for recording a generic mod-value per step. You can then assign that mod-value per step to all sorts of things on pl...

Re: Sub37 - Broken?

call or write to techsupport at moogmusic, they will help you. It's probably either a loose cable that needs re-connecting, or firmware needs updating, either of which they can walk you through... good luck, I am sure we'll sort it out :)

Re: sub37 "ctrl 4 amt" question

control 4 will be assignable before long ;) right now it's hardwired to MIDI CC 2, but soon you will be able to choose some additional "control sources" for CTRL 4. only a few additional choices at first... but there is room for expansion (as there usually is where almost anything with the...
