Re: First try of the MFs + Doepfer VCA&ADSR combo [AUDIO]

If you went modular, you went far from the cheapest way! For now, I only have 16 HP left in my Mini Case, so I feel quite safe :-) Anyway, here's another patch. This one feels a little bit like cheating, because it consists of two tracks :-) (Still no keyboard or sequencer in sight). Both tracks ma...

Re: First try of the MFs + Doepfer VCA&ADSR combo [AUDIO]

It sucks having to outsource the VCA and envgen jobs to other manufacturers. I went the dotcom route though. I went the cheapest way :-) I too would like to be able to use another MF (what about a VCA + ADSR + Mixer/Multiple in the form of the CP-251?). For now, I enjoy having jacks on the front, b...

Re: First try of the MFs + Doepfer VCA&ADSR combo [AUDIO]

I get the singleness stuff and like very much the one-instrument-on-take way to perform; Keep It Simple and Stupid. Although I tend to consider a second track is not making things much more complicated. It's sometimes an opportunity to give the first one some new interest... You're right (ha! there...

Re: First try of the MFs + Doepfer VCA&ADSR combo [AUDIO]

Steve, Many thanks for another thoughtful answer! I prefer the first one, though this is unusual since I'm more a pad guy than a percussion guys as far as synths goes haha. I fins the textures you get interesting, but sometimes I feel like some background track of fx or... je-ne-sais-quoi could brin...

Re: First try of the MFs + Doepfer VCA&ADSR combo [AUDIO]

Maybe you'll lie this one better :-) Here's another patch made with the MoogerFoogers + Doepfer Mini Case (ADSR + VCA) + EHX Deluxe Memory Boy. Slow, monotonous sequence mostly based on timbral variations resulting from using Freqbox's Envelope & FM, the Ring Mod, and the LowPass filter on high ...

First try of the MFs + Doepfer VCA&ADSR combo [AUDIO]

Hi guys, This is my first try of the Moogerfoogers + Doepfer Mini Case with VCA&ADSR combo. No keyboard, no sequencer. MF-107 as an oscillator, MF-102 as an oscillator and modulator of the MF-107 signal (that goes through MF-101 first). MF-101 on high resonance for added harmonics, cutoff contro...

Re: 107m

I don't care much for midi. I'd rather have a VCA built in.

Cheers,

Re: First try of my new Low Pass Filter [audio inside]

Next time I'll try to use a few different patterns from the DR-110 to trigger the S&H to make some kind of a controlled S&H song. Well, haven't got to that yet, but here're a few more patches using the MF-101, and some more attempts at making the S&H musical. A lot of FM in there too (M...

Re: First try of my new Low Pass Filter [audio inside]

Thanks guys! I realize it's a bit lenghty, but I was so stoked about that "talking" timbre (and the way it was achieved without any LFO modulation), I just couldn't bring myself to stop it :-) Next time I'll try to use a few different patterns from the DR-110 to trigger the S&H to make...

First try of my new Low Pass Filter [audio inside]

Hi guys, I just bought a MF-101 to complement my MF collection, and this is my first sound sketch made with it (plus all the other gear I use: MF-102, MF-105, MF-107, CP-251, Boss DR-100, TC Electronic Flashback). The talking sound is made with the FM from the MF-107, and the Low Pass, of course. No...

Re: MoogerFooger modular - old SciFi movies patch on Soundcl

Hi guys, Here's another one. MF-107, MF-102, MF-105, CP-251 + TC Electronic Flashback + Boss DR-110. MF-105 used as a resonant filter for the drums (no animation this time), MF-102 as a drone in the background, MF-107 as the main oscillator. It's frequency is controlled by CP-251 S&H. Experiment...

Re: mf-104m without psu?

I heard that European distributors had to buy the PSU's themselves separately to supply them with the MF units. At least that was the case in Poland. After a while they decided they weren't going to cover the cost of the European PSU any longer. So now, you a European customer has got to buy a PSU s...

Re: MF-102 CV Outputs Question

The Carrier Out is for the Ring Mod's internal oscillator (something between sine and triangle wave). You can use the Ring Mod as two separate things at the same time – send a CV into the Freq In, and use the Carrier Out as a oscillator (and e.g. play it with a keyboard), while sending another input...

Re: MP-201 free running values

Well, I know it's a bit late, but I've only just found your post. To sync with your drummer, use the option of syncing to Tap Tempo, and simply tap the tempo. You can use this setting on one channel, and sync the other three to the one that's Tap Tempoed – that way all LFO's will be in sync. Hope th...
