The moment I get my hands on one, I will make a demo of it on a 6 string guitar, and that will be enough. It's a Moog Guitar in the same way a synthesizer is a piano.

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

http://soundcloud.com/ynnek001/victoria-dallas-1 That is great stuff, Kenneth! nice one Kenneth! here's a link to one I did with a Moog Prodigy, guitar, drums, and screams! http://www.moped10.com/images/themisanthrope.wmv Also great, filtered! In addition to that, I enjoyed the video! And, actually...

Re: Doesn't look like anyone's seen this yet...

what is your opinion on something like the 8-voice? Apart from "only" having 8 voices, the 8-Voice comes the closest to giving the synthesist what the synthesist should want in regard to polyphonic synthesis. Of course, it's also one of the most expensive non-modular synths ever made. :)

Re: Doesn't look like anyone's seen this yet...

Also, let's not forget the Korg PS series, which were probably the most accurate polyphonic synthesizers ever made in history. Why? They had individual oscillators (even if they were divide-down), filters, and articulation PER NOTE. Your Prophets or CSs or even the Polymoog (outside of preset mode) ...

Re: Doesn't look like anyone's seen this yet...

Would be interesting to see this technology implemented on a stringed keyboard instrument. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6s1hi/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/driverwpiano.jpg Something like a five octave square piano with a hammer action might be a game changer for some. Infinite sustain or ...

Re: Doesn't look like anyone's seen this yet...

To try and make a polyphonic synthesizer, is to radically change the very nature of how it sounds and how it produces music. You're entitled to your humble opinion, which I respect, Stephen. However, I strongly disagree with it. How is 4 tracks of separately recorded monophonic Moog synthesizer not...

Re: Doesn't look like anyone's seen this yet...

The impetus to play chords on a synthesizer is an unnatural one. It comes from having experience with pianos. No one picks up a saxophone and says "wait, you mean I can't play more than one note at a time?" When Herb Deutsch and others told Bob he should have the synthesizer controlled by ...

Re: Doesn't look like anyone's seen this yet...

Listen, I'm not an employee of Moog. However, I am a person who has personally experienced this technology. I'm an experienced synthesist. I'm also a person whose job it is to promote Bob Moog's legacy. If I say it's going to change everything, I'm not just trying to generate hype. :) If you don't g...

Re: "New Synth Prototype"...?

There will be a fair amount of excitement about what Herb saw.

But the LEV is astounding.

The excitement is building simply because no one knows what this stuff is, EricK! :)

Re: Doesn't look like anyone's seen this yet...

As far as I'm concerned, it's going to change everything. That's what the Moog guitar and lap steel did. There is nothing left to change, except the bass guitar. Now that we have Moog lap steel, electric and acoustic guitar, when will they develop something for harpsichord, lute, banjo, harmonica, ...

Wait until you see what this thing does. As far as I'm concerned, it's going to change everything. I have never wanted a musical instrument (other than an analog synthesizer) more than this.
