I think the white wash makes the moog stuff look so retro-futuristic if that makes any sense. Like 1950's idea of 2030 Agreed. Mid-Century Modern Moog. If they offered a trade-in program for wooden cheeks I'd definitely send my regulars in to get whitewash ones. I'm thinking spray paint won't look ...

Yeah, it sounds like you have two boxes that will receive clock, but neither will transmit. I won't say you're totally screwed, but your only option is to introduce a third piece of MIDI gear into the mix that is capable of sending out clock messages. A really cheap drum machine would do the trick. ...

How did you determine that the max CV out of the S&H was only 1V? Check out this thread for details (and a workaround from Amos): http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=60106 I'm guessing it is because the noise output is low, and noise is what feeds the S&H unless you have somethin...

According to this link:

(scroll to the very bottom of the page)

...the MS-20 operates within a +/- 5v range, just like the Moogerfoogers. So you should be able to just plug and play with CV from both.

I had this idea a couple of years ago, but after looking at the circuit board I didn't want to attempt it myself. I'm not that great with a soldering iron. I think it would be great if Moog offered it. I voted yes. Since that time though I've gotten into some Eurorack modular gear, so I no longer ne...

And then there is the DIY option that I took of modifying digital gear to get DC CV outputs (only works though if you can route modulation sources to the audio output as is the case with the Nord Modular). Nice! Thanks for the link. I'll consider trying this with my Delta 44 PC interface. Then I co...

Moogerfoogers laughing

I posted this on KnobTweak too.
It's a patch using my 102, 103, 107 and a CP-251.

Re: Crossing the Steams - Joining the Digital And Analogue W

For example, Absynth has great envelopes. I thought, wouldn't it be nice to use these to control foogers? An easy way to do that is to simple create a sin wave to a foogers audio and those that have envelope outs, will create an envelope based on whatever amplitude envelope is in Absynth. I've done...

...it was clear that the Moogerfooger was intended to process full 20Hz - 20kHz sound with a more "flat" response, if that makes sense. The Cathedral pedal doesn't have that problem though, it sounds great on everything. But it is digital of course. You're kidding, right? Try putting a hi...

A guitar sample might be a bit more interesting because it will stabilize into a waveform with less partials but be muddy in beginning which will sound more colored than muddy. The truth is, most audio-rate things will all sound the same - buzzy and ringing. It all starts to sound like ring mod. I ...

I've had good success with Electro-Harmonix equipment. They're stuff is built like a tank. So, I'm still leaning towards the Memory Man or something similar. Anybody want to talk me out of it? EHX makes good stuff, I wouldn't talk you out of it. I have their Stereo Electric Mistress and their Cathe...

This is funny. When I had an Alesis ION, I seriously considered making wooden end caps and bending the front panel UP to be more like the Little Phatty. The screen is hard to read on those when it is flat. But then I sold the ION and bought an LP. I get why you'd want to do that though. The LP reall...

Here's a sample using Arturia's 2600v audio out to modulate the frequency of the FreqBox.
