Re: Sub37 Poly chain to my Sub Phatty PLEASE
This is awesome news! I may end up keeping my Sub after all. There is a slight problem I'm seeing regarding the modulation differences between the two synths, though. First of all, the Sub Phatty can only do positive modulation, while the Sub 37 will allow for bipolar. How is that going to work when...

Sub 37 CV in behavior
I think I already know the answer to this, but is the Sub 37's CV in behavior going to be the same as the Sub Phatty (responds to positive CV only, 0-5V)? Not that it would change my mind on selling the sub and buying one, but it sure would be nice. (PS/shameless promotion - Mint Sub Phatty for sale...

Re: Sub Phatty vs. MiniMoog
I've found the Sub to be closest any of the new modern Moogs have come to the sound of a model D in terms of presence and pure "gnarl". The only thing that puts it far from the model D is the tuning stability. It's just rock solid no matter what temperature its at, unlike a vintage like th...

Re: Sub Phatty Questions about Midi compatibility
Yup, any old USB cable will work. Just plug it up straight into a free USB port on your computer.
You **dont actually need to turn it off if in any particular order.

Where would one hook up a CV breakout box the Sub? There is no accessory port like the Voyager.

Re: Sub Phatty Questions about Midi compatibility
But I read that you can assign the LFO to the Waveshape VCO. So I I use a Sine Wave on VCO & LFO and assign the LFO to Waveshape, doest this will sound like VCO modulate each others or this is just a modulation of the knob which choose the kind of waveshape of the VCO ? Not sure where you read ...

Re: Step sequencer options, EF-303
At first I wasn't sure, but after doing a bit of research it seems like the EF-303 is capable of acting as a MIDI step sequencer. Very cool. It's also a fairly capable effects processor in its own right, so you could have a pretty mean combo there. Great idea if you ask me!

Re: How to get a pure square wave
If you have a Sub Phatty you can achieve a perfect 50% square wave by using only the subOsc. No need to dial it in. If you want the sound of dual/detuned, perfect squares, you can drop Osc2 an octave below Osc1 (so it's in the same octave as the subOsc), then A/B it against the subOsc until the wave...

Re: Sub Phatty Questions about Midi compatibility
From what I've understand you can make your midi clips and make the automation signal go trough the subphatty right ? Is it true for every paramters ? Correct. Every parameter responds to midi. The Sub can also do 14bit midi if you want to do fast/high resolution control changes. Midi LFOs, step se...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup
Setting knob mode to Snap in firmware 1.2.1 seems to prevent the panel lockup for me. I'll get 1.2.2 installed tonight and try the different knob modes in Ableton to see if it's still happening.

Re: Firmware 1.2.1 update: Got some issues :(
Sorry, totally forgot to reply to this thread, Amos!
The knob mode setting did seem to make a difference, though I can't say for certain. I set it to Snap and haven't had any lockups since.
I'll install 1.2.2 tonight and do some more extensive testing.

Wow, nice MOTM modular, marsh! I just love the look of a big 1/4'' jack modular.
