I've had a closer look at the promo. The two panels with the mod wheels and the incremental control are definately black (when you upload photos using ebay's system the quality seems to disintegrate). Also the inc. control knob looks like a standard mini-moog type know ie black with a silver cap (wh...

Some of the issues have necessitated a repair back at the Moog facility. Its mere prudence that councels my caution. Ashville is a long way from my house My sentiments exactly. I'm in the UK and I held off placing an order for an LP here, because I feared a repeat of the minor hardware issues exper...

Moog Source Service manual and promo on ebay

I don't really like promoting anything I'm flogging on ebay, but in this case I'm hoping you won't mind too much? I've dug these up in one of my drawers. If there is anyone interested, I'm guessing they'll frequent this forum. (Personally I think this forum should have a 'Sales and Wants' section an...

Just out of interest, I came across this site:

http://www.synthwood.com/

I've never used them, nor do I know anyone that has, just seemed quite interesting. I suppose any french polisher could do a great job, or you could do it yourself. Sorry if I'm digressing from the original post

I'll contribute the old Voltage trigger to S-trigger conversion cable, just in case it's of any use in this case. not sure if the source had a Cynch Jones connector or a standard jack, either way connections are similar. :)

Moog are currently fixing the issue, and all is back on track. They responded immediately in light of the first concerned forum post. Not sure what the cause was tho or how its being fixed, but rest assured it is! Does anyone know if any LP's have reached the UK yet? If so, anyone got one? Also, th...

Why can't I find a great vintage synth in my grannie's attic? I bought a non working Prod. a while back with much the same symptoms, turned out to be one of the transistors, but I had to pay a tech to sort it. It's probably worth putting it in to a tech anyway, as once you get it working, the key co...

I admit I was a bit concerned at how user friendly the rationalised number of knobs would be, but from what I've seen it's superb. At the risk of starting something, I think the LP is more desirable than the voyager (I owned an SE briefly, sold it due to financial difficulties). I'm onto my second P...

This seemed like a great deal to me:

To me, it's not worth the hassle of making one up yourself.

Hi Keith, I can't answer your question but I can tell you a little bit more about the sockets. Most vintage mono synths use the CV/Gate regime and that equates to the 'keyboard in' & S-trig respectively on the Prodigy. The CV out from another synth/sequencer can be directly connected to the keyb...

Prodigy Knobs - Desperately seeking

Does anyone know of a supplier with Prodigy knobs in stock? I'm after a full set of originals (with the little felt base). I've tried: vintagesynthservices in the UK vintageplanet in the Netherlands Long shot but I'd rather source original knobs as opposed to 'similar' ones if humanly possible? Than...

I paid a straight £1000 for my SE from a member on here. I PERSONALLY don't think they're worth any more, but it depends how much you value "brass badges or maple/cherry/walnut cabinets". Remember, if you're gigging, you need to take a french polisher with you, just in case  Given my...

Most SE's had the prototype pich bend wheel which is a bit iffy. If the bend up range is around 1/2 - 1 semitone different to the down range, then chances are it's the work in progress. It was a free upgrade if the owner managed to get it to a service centre. Obviously check the OS, touch pad etc, i...
