Re: Sub 37, SN, owner, location list

Thanks for the precision. I updated your input, jabberwalky.

And thanks to all the new contributors too. Mlekoman, that's sad news. Hope the fix will be there soon.

Re: Sub 37 Gap in case

Thanks for your replies. I just wanted to know if I had a defective unit. I haven't noticed it since. Just having fun twiddling. I don't understand how the different modules interact but it sure sounds great whatever knobs I tweak. Hi wickett. Good to know the sound has grown on you to the point yo...

Re: Problem with sub 37 volume knob?

That's an interesting problem (if it is one). You should maybe report this behaviour to Amos by e-mail. Don't forget to report your firmware number (you'll find it at the end of the general menu).

All the best,

Re: how to download or see preset settings?

Don't forget to register your Sub37 on the Moog website, to be contacted by Moog when there is a new firmware or when the editor is available.

Re: Good patch learning sources (Sub 37)

F (Filter) envelope copes with the opening/closing of the filter. Let's play with this one later. A (Amplitude) envelope copes with the amplitude, or amplification of the sound in itself. It carves in time the sound. As such, this is the most important parameter to try and mimic this or that instrum...

Re: Good patch learning sources (Sub 37)

I wrote this in answer to a similar question a few months ago: What you can do is select an empty preset 'Init Preset', and move slightly one knob at a time, trying to find the setting that reproduces the sound of the init preset. When you're done, your panel will be set up for a very simple synth s...

Re: Sub 37, SN, owner, location list

Come on, new (and old) users, do participate to this thread, it's very important/interesting/fun to track down the most precisely possible where/when/whom/whence/what/how you and your Sub37 lives/plays/feels/whatever, I lost the sense of my sentence. Template to fill is this: SN: SBT0XXXX Built Date...

Re: how to download or see preset settings?

I'm not good at quoting, so here are my answers: 1. Dunno, 2. Yes, somewhere here in the forum, I think it was Amos from Moog that told us the Editor should be done during the summer, 3. Passthrough, yes, that's how I try to do it, 4. Dunno again, maybe brickdown is a tad too strong, but you're on y...

Re: how to download or see preset settings?

I don't know if the Moog Sub37 editor will be a realtime one. I hope so, but nothing is known. I know it will have a virtual panel of the Sub37 of some kind, so One can hope to see the actual position and settings of a given preste. I hope there will be a means to know exact values too. I don't know...

Re: Sub 37 Gap in case

That 'detail' has been noted several times already here, more often noticed on the left side, because of the mentioned backlit screen that leaks sometimes a bit of light. This is due to the fact that the aluminium extruded back is cut maybe one millimeter longer than the front panel and other parts ...

Re: how to download or see preset settings?

Currently, you can't. More precisely, you can download sysex files for a given rest, all the presets, a full dump of the entire synth, but the sysex file I can't read with anything, all that one can do currently, is to upload it back to the synth (a preset file can be updloaded to another preset pla...

Re: sub37 Editor/Librarian How long also needs to be able to

I am really happy to have been able to buy my Sub37 without the patch editor/manager, and that Moog did not delayed the full package just waiting for the soft to be finished. I'm staisfied to know that Moog is working on it, that they do the most they can, and that it will be available soon, hopeful...
